...'Til the PSP comes out in Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Anyway, who here has pre-ordered one and what games are you getting? Or will you wait for a price drop? I myself have pre-ordered a PSP with Lumines, NFSU and THUG 2.

I'm excited. :D

I wouldn't get it for games... I'd most probably use it as a web browser/music player. We already have a bunch of games out here in the US, and to tell you the truth, they aren't all that great and actually quite boring. It's other features are actually pretty amazing though for a little gizmo like that.

You'll want to get Darkstalkers: The Chaos Tower.

Even if I wanted one, I'd refuse to buy it on general principle, as I do with most things with which there are ridiculous discrepencies between the US and UK release date. Sony's actions on the matter only serve to bolster this view, and they disgust me entirely.

I'm probably not gonna get a PSP. Most of the games I actually are about are either available on the PS2 as well, or are only being released for the upcoming PS3 - thus, to spend loads of cash on a PSP would just give me a limited, nearly-outdated-already console which doesn't really do anything my PS2 can't.

It can do one thing your PS2 can't, it can fit in your pocket. I've heard mixed reviews from people, but the overall consensus seems to be that its strength is in its multimedia functions and not really its games per se.

MP3 downloading = useless for me, since I don't have my own computer to download MP3s from.

Portability = also useless. The only time I'm ever away from my PS2 for long periods is when I'm travelling. When travelling I'm almost always either driving, or I'm in a plane. In both instances, games are an impossibility.

Uh, no, actually. You can play games on an airplane. I've done this many many times. They just don't want you doing it during takeoff or landing.

the thing if your really wanting a RPG stick to the GBA. The good thing about the PSP is all the cool things it has on the side, and most of the sports games released for it. But surely if you have the money and like sports games this is good for you. ^^

I've seen anyone even come close to spelling 'four' as t-h-r-e-e.

I bought one of those on launch, too. After two weeks I found it to be a piece of smurf, so I sold it.
