Has anyone here heard and/or listened to the newest album from Fantomas?
Of course, the question arises:
Has anyone here even heard of Fantomas?
For those who are unaware, Fantomas is pretty much as weird as it gets when it comes to music. Most of their songs dont have any real structure, and are pretty hard to repeat. That being said, it also can be very enjoyable (if u are up for the listening)
Anyways, their newest CD entitled "Suspended Animation" goes back to their very first recored where they were craziest. Much much more experimental than "Directors Cut" where they remixed classic movie songs from such flims as "The Godfather" and added the Fantomas touch.
This CD has 30 songs, named for the 30 days of April 2005. Actually, its really just one giant 40 min song. Mike Patton never really sings on the album, which kinda sucks, but that is all replaced by what seems like hundreds of different instruments playing at once.
Great CD all around. If you enjoy this type of music, then by all means check it out.
