Barrett's is total AP of his materia. Yuffie's is the amount of materia equipped.

Cloud- HP total
Barret- amount of AP on his materias
Tifa- Limit guage (fuller it is, the more power she has)
Cid- MP total
Red XIII- MP total (i think)
Vincent- amount of enemies killed with ultimate weapon
Yuffie- not quite sure, i thought it was the difference between her level and the level of the enemy she's fighting?
Cait Sith- HP total

if im wrong.. sorry!

Cloud's Ultima Weapon, Cait Sith's HP Shout: HP is the key. More HP = more damage; a full HP gauge also increases damage. So basically, have 9999/9999 HP for maximum damage. 3333/9999 will be quite weak, whereas 4000/4000 will be strong. It's not just how many HP they have; it's how much they're capable of having, too. With Cloud's sword, you'll notice the blade darkens from white to blue as his HP decrease. When he's near defeat, it's dark purple. This is a handy hint for judging how much damage he can deal.

Cid's Venus Gospel, Nanaki's Limited Moon: Same as above, except with MP instead of HP.

Yuffie's Conformer: Greater damage against enemies with a higher level than her's. Once she reaches level 99, it deals maximum punishment to anything.

Tifa's Premium Heart: More damage when her Limit gauge is full.

Vincent's Death Penalty: Damage is proportional to the number of enemies he's killed during the game.

Barret's Missing Score: Higher damage when it's equipped with mastered materia.

Well, I have Cloud at Level 60 with 5000 HP. Against Crater monsters and the Gelnika Unknowns, he's already doing 9999 damage.

The Conformer is found aboard the sunken Gelnika plane.

In the Sunken Gelnika Airship. Take the sub into the bay near the Gold Saucer and dive. Watch out for Emerald WEAPON as it is sometimes lurking by the Gelnika. If this is the case resurface quickly and hope its gone.

It's in the same room as the Escort Guard and the Double Cut materia. I think it's in the top right-hand corner, but I do remember its quite well hidden.

ForestOwl knows the score. The weapon's in a chest that's concealed behind a pipe.

Yep. "Blue Ultima Weapon".

Wait. If Barrett's weapon is based on AP in the Materia, you get no bonus if you put Master Materia (Master Command, Master Summon, Master Magic) in his weapon? What about Enemy Skill?

Of couse, for the space of a single Materia Slot, you can get an infinite boost, by equipping Underwater, since it has no max AP, and it can't be mastered. I've gotta try that...

As Master Magic/Summon/Command materia and Enemy Skill materia neither have nor can accrue AP, they cannot contribute to powering up the Missing Score.

Unfortunately, the Underwater materia (which actually does cap at the three-byte integer 16,777,215, and then resets) cannot be applied to the Missing Score. All that extraneous AP doesn't help; the Missing Score will treat it as zero.

So, what Materia has the highest AP count when Mastered? KotR at 500,000, right?

Damn. Too bad. It was a neat idea.

Masamune·1600
09-14-2005, 02:26 AM
Yes. KotR has the highest mastery value, at 500,000 AP. Next is Magic Counter at 300,000, and there are a whole host at 250,000 AP; specifically, W-Magic, W-Summon, W-Item, Bahamut ZERO, Typoon, and Hades.

I have to agree with you regarding Underwater materia. It would have been awesome if that could have been exploited.
