How long does it take to get a WHM to lvl 20?

It took me months to get to 20 with my white mage. But that's just cause I used to play for only a few hours every week or two and I focused on Rank more than I did on leveling. If you play everyday it should take you no more than a few weeks. In fact, I know someone who took white mage to 30 in less than 2 weeks.

The first 10 levels are killer, especially the level 8-10 grind. But once you start partying, it should be extremely easy for you to find exp parties and get to 20.

You can get any job to level 20 in a day or two if you're dedicated enough.

The almighty THF sub with Sneak Attack and Gilfinder/TH. O_o...

If you had a sub(preferably BLM lvled to 10 too) then it wouldnt be that hard, take a hammer and a shield and start paralyze and whacking. You can use BLM sub nukes to finish off mobs on low health. Just stick to a Bronze Hammer after level 5, and fight like how i do without Hexa/True Strike..the war of outlasting the opponent. Take Decent Challenge flat at most, anything more than that and even some Decent Challenge High DEF or Evasion can be a hassle.

Once you hit 11 with CureII its usually depends on the party, but since i make most of my own..a week max to get from 10-20 in valkurm. Probably 2-3 days for me but if you are casual a week max.

Yeah, if you don't do silly distracting things like eat, sleep, go to the bathroom, etc.

No seriously i went from lvl 14-20 once in a whole day session of partying(i think 6 hours) even though the last 2 hours the party was BLM/WHM, BLM(Subless), PLD, NIN and THF. Yeah thats right 5 people. >>; It was great.

I can't be very accurate as WHM was my second job

BLM->18-WHM->30-BRD->infinty

It took me a little while back then but basically if you have the gil ahead of time to afford gear and scrolls then you can level it up very very quickly. I agree that you can do it in a few days if you have the time. If you are getting PLed to 10 then you can easily make 10-20 in under a week under normal circumstance as you will rarely be hurting for invites.

If you are gonna use it as a sub for BRD though I suggest taking it much higher. It sucks to have to change gears constantly so get it leveled up as much as you can handle before switching back to leveling your main or you'll grow to loathe it increasingly much.
