Actually, there is no reason to buy stuff like Antidotes and Eyedrops in this game; there is a very,
very cheap "glitch" that allows you to cure stats in a different way:

Relics.

Equipping the proper Relic will cancel any stats that Relic is intended to protect from, e.g. equipping the Star Pendant will cancel Poison, Goggles will cancel Blind and so on. :D
This is really handy trick, and it also means you wonŽt need to buy more than one of each Relic of this type. :D :D :D

Oh, and feel free to unequip them immediately afterwards. :)

Well, I did stress that this was an advice for beginners.
Also, not all status stuff can be healed this way, so youŽll still have to use magic every now and then.

Actually there's no reason to cancel blind status unless you really just hate the way your characters look with shades on, as blind doesn't actually do anything.

It doesn't have to be sarcastic. This is a trick not everybody knows, since wearing the right accessory in FF VII does NOT take status ailments away. But then again, most of them (like Poison) simply disappear after battle.

I'm shrewd and cheap. I don't buy potions, antidotes, remedies, etc. . That costs too much. Just steal it all. and I only buy equipment if I have to. I mean, isn't this really just monopoly tycoon?

Poison doesn't disappear after battle.

KoShiatar was referring to FFVII, where Poison status did indeed disappear after battles.

Remedies and such are useful during longer battles though until you obtain Magicite.
It seems like Dark *a.k.a. the shades :p* doesn't do anything but actually your attacks don't do as much damage.
