You could say exactly the same thing about screaming vocalists in Rock music, that's the point, it's all subjective.

Some people LIKE that part of rap, though not every song is like that.

What one person considers good, another may not, it's as simple as that, you can't brand one type of music as good and one as bad, and you can most definitely not say that rap isn't music.

Funny thing is, I don't even like most rap artists, but for the most part, I respect them for what they do.

Rock by far. I find Rap tedious and annoying. But i do like Rap IN rock music eg: Linkin Park, P.O.D., Papa Roach etc (these are more metal but still part of the rock genre)

One day, rock will only be a sliver, rap will be huge and past it's use by date, and a new type of music SHOULD be coming out from an early 20 years of smalltownism and start spreading - which is when the question will be asked if you prefer that or rap.

I like rap - it's my favourite genre of music - that and hip hop. That doesn't mean I like to listen to lyrics that contain the word bitch and yo gangsta every second line, nor does it mean that I must love all rap music videos with booty shaking girls in bikinis.

I respect the talents rappers have. I respect and really love rap artists such as Outkast, Eminem and Ja Rule. But just because I like a song by a rap artist, doesn't mean I like every song. Like Busta Rhymes - I love the beat of his song 'I know what you want', but I don't know any of his other songs.

Me liking rap doesn't mean I don't appreciate music from other genres - I have favourite music artists from other genres. Rap and hip hop are just the main songs that gets me going, or the songs that I enjoy.

So to get to my post..

Tupac: He raps about anything that gets to his mind. But he mostly raps about what happens and can happen in life. Which makes him my favorite rapper. But he can also rap about revenge. Like in the song "Still Ballin". Listen to the anger in him..But if you listen to the song "Bury Me A G", You'll hear a lot about his, and his friends lives. Hence!! He is not a rapper about bitches wich he can say once in some of his songs. He's still cool...

Nas: Another rapper about life. But he raps about pure life. As in thats almost all he talks about. He can rap about his life, ("Street's Disciple") Someone else's life, ("U.B.R.") And life in general, ("One Mic"). But he can have a little fun in him. Like the song ("The World Is Yours"). But the song "One Love" is about writing to his friends who are currently going threw prison life. This is what seperates him from Jay-Z. You can tell he's religious by one of his album title's. One album title is enough to tell. The album called "God's Son". There's Nas for ya'..

A Tribe Called Quest: They rap about fun. Thats it. They are fun. But they are those type that barely curse. They're kind of kid friendly. But still cool. And they were old school which get's them more points...

Jay-Z: Fun. Thats it. He can make the coolest song's here and there but his fun sucks. He's one of those rappers that if they're not raised in the ghetto they dont have much to rap about so they write the stupidest things...

The reason for the hate 99% of rap is cause of Walk This Way by Aerosmith. I hate (read smurfing hate) punk rock. So most of the groups before and during the 80's are awesome.
