Subscriptions?? wth??

Subscribing to a thread will result in a notification in your User CP when the thread receives posts, or if you so choose, you can even be e-mailed every time a new post is made in a subscribed thread.

A useful tool if you choose to auto-subscribe to threads in which you make a post, for checking for activity in said threads without having to waste clicks and navigate through various forums. It's just under View New Posts as the Most Kickin' Rad Forum Tool Ever.

I use this feature on a regular basis and subscribe to every thread that I want to keep a watch on and every thread that I post in. I get them sent to my email address. This way, I don't miss much.

I think when I first joined either the eZBoard or the UBB I accidently auto-subscribed and then my inbox was flooded and I was like "o noes what is happnings???"

I've never subscribed to any thread on purpose. I don't see the point. Ya'll aren't that interesting that I can't stand to miss something.

Yeah, I remember email notifications. I remember at some board I went to(I think it may have been FFWA at one point), email notifications were the default for any thread you "subscribed to," and by "subscribed to" they meant "posted in and didn't uncheck the 'email notification' box." That sucked, because I kept forgetting to uncheck it.

I think that was a default on one of the boards. It was in the FAQ at one point, I think.
