Is this thing set to automatic easy mode 'cause it sucks. Way to easy. I barely played much of it. How much your HP goes up lowered but it is easy as hell to level up. Im gonna try to fight garland at level 10. But really. That easy??

If you notice, the MP system is also completely different. So yea, this game is MUCH easier than the first. Play the PS or WSC remakes. They are probably harder than the original. especially the PS version on normal difficulty. It's much harder.

Fireblade, it is still easier to do it on the GBA version than the PS (normal diff.), WSC, or NES. but I think PS Normal diff. is the hardest I've played.

You can beat Garland at like level 3 on FFDoS.

So what? Saber, Invis and Temper actaully work in the GBA version (and all fo the remakes in general), so you can blow anything away if you have a Giant's Glove and somebody that knows Black Magic. Hell, that's the perfect strategy for every boss in the damn game, which is pathatic.

I've beat Garland on level 2 on FF DoS. Though that was only because I had fought 3 groups of Goblins on my way to the Temple of Fiends/Chaos. That instantly leveled me to 3. Beating Garland on level 3 is completely normal in NES, WSC and PSX and I do it very often. It's still possible on level 2 in NES/WSC/PSX and maybe even level 1 if you have a strong party.

FF1 DoS seems very easy, yeah, but FF1 PSX Easy is also quite smooth sailing. Except in FF1 DoS, you can save anywhere. Then again, bosses have been made stronger and there's the extra four dungeons, but those dungeons are totally optional.

I don't know what's so hard about FF1 PSX on Normal. It felt just the same for me as the WSC version. The enemy encounter things and bosses having double HP is the same in both WSC and PSX, and the same for all the items and equipment. Ice Cave is very dangerous and hard in WSC and PSX, even harder than in NES, probably because the monster encounter system is different and you might run into a group of 3 mages or sorcerers that just ambush you and kill your party before you get a single turn. Since enemies have double HP and they're more dangerous in WSC and PSX, those versions might be harder than the original NES version, but NES had very limited equipment space, some spells like Steel and Saber didn't even work IIRC, and it takes forever to buy 99 of the same item.

Im on the bridge of beating FF1 on easy mode on FFO and then I'll probably play more FFDoS...

Is that tiny area of super-strong monsters still around in Dawn of Souls?

Finger Point is still around. In fact, it's probably the only place in the DoS version of FF1 where you can actually die.

I found the optional dungeons to be a welcome challenge, unless your over-leveled.

Well, not the dungeons per se, but the bosses.

Why did they rename the (MALE) White Mage Mindu from FFO, "Minwu" in FF:DoS?

In the manual it says there are sources for increasing stats in FFI.

Can you win them from monsters or are there only a limited amount through the whole game?
