I want to play a new RPG. And those two polls option are the ones that caught my eye recently. I could get them both, but the for the moment I could only get one. So which of these two should I get? Or if you have a different suggestion, post it here. However, don't recommend PS2 games because I don't have one, but recommend PS1 games instead :)

PSX one, being that you cant emulate it and its probably rare to find certain PSX games. What i mean is, GBA games will still be here a while, and if not at worst you can emulate it, but PSX games probably not.

Uhh...you can emulate PSX games fine, even several years ago, ePSXe had near-perfect PSX game emulation, and the quality is BETTER than PSX games now.

I don't know exactly where you're getting your information from.

Its still not as good as a GBA emulator and i am pretty sure unless you wanna download the entire CD that is freaking huge, you gotta buy that CD anyway whereas the ROM image is much less in space and easier to find, that and GBA is newer than PSX therefore its easier to find a cart than a PS1 CD depending on the stores.

I am just saying its more practical (at least for me) to download Cart ROM images than a CD, or buying one.

Actually you said you CAN'T emulate PSX games, you're just going back on that now.

You could just buy the PSX game, copy it as an ISO, then return it to the store, easy enough, plus there are plenty of torrent sites online that purely host torrents for game ISOs, including numerous PSX games.

Now if you'd started talking about how Saturn ISOs were hard to get, I'd agree with you, but certainly not for PSX games.

Anyway, get both, play Tales of Destiny when home, and Lunar Legend when away.

Maybe i worded it wrong but i mean its harder to, i know you can emulate it but i never found many PSX emulators to be worth my time in figuring out. Although admittedly i dont really search for PSX games alot since all i do is search for anime. >_> So i dont really know how hard is it, i just know ROMs in general are easier to find for me anyway.

So yes i would buy the PSX game first if it was up to me, and get the GBA later on ROM/EMU if you cant buy it later.

In my opinion: Lunar Legend.

Urfbound.

You don't have a PS2 so I can't reccomend Dragon Warrior VIII.

Two ace series right there, but I'd personally play Tales of Destiny, if for no other reason than I couldn't stand playing an RPG on the little screen.

I would have to second the suikodon series idea. Just started playing the series. Its pretty awesome!

Tales of Destiny II (Eternia) is a great game. I strongly suggest buying that, as it's also more rare than Lunar Legends.

As for PSX emulation, Lindy is correct. It's rather easy to do, and runs/looks even sharper on the PC than on the ol' PSX.

I'd go for the much rarer choice first (ToD2). You can always go back and get Lunar Legend someplace (plenty of copies were made), but not Tales of Destiny 2. That game doesn't come up much at all, especially not in Gamestop or EB.

Plus, the game is pretty good, like it has been stated already. Lunar Legend is good as well. But if you're planning on emulating LL, instead of going back to buy it later, you'll probably end up getting the Japanese ROM (most places where I saw the English ROM, the link to it was broken). Just a word of advice.

PSX emulation is still a drag due to getting a BIOS file...........

We're not really supposed to link to that kind of stuff. - Hsu

I voted for Tales of Eternia on your poll. I liked the game and it has a really fun battle system.

Dungeon Siege 2

Golden Sun 1 and 2 were actually pretty good. Actually good enough to play on the computer. Most GBA games seemed boring to me on the computer, but these were't bad.

Combines the artistic style of Chrono Cross with a surprisingly deep card-battle system, and a wonderful story, but sadly the WORST voice acting since Resident Evil on the PSX. Thankfully you can turn off the voices.

Lunar Legend is, as far as I've played it, almost the exact same thing as Lunar: SSSC. Just FYI.

Tales of Destiny is a solid RPG(I have not played ToD II). However, PS1 RPGs such as Suikoden, the Lunar series, etc. definitely come first.

Lindy

Actually, Lunar Legend is a horrific RAPE of the original Lunar:SSSC, but whatever.
