There probably isn't that many Paint Shop Pro tutorials.

www.pixel2life.com

There might be one or two there, if not you can just browse the Adobe Photoshop tutorials, there are like fifty grunge signatures tutorials on just the front page of that place. In Photoshop most people feather the edges of an image to make it fade into the background (the background usually being some generic random grunge brushing), I've got no idea how to do that in Paint Shop Pro.

open an image. make another image. select what you want from the first image, copy, paste as new layer into the second image. Play around with feathering, the erase tool (set it to 8% opacity and 'build brush') and color balance and layer modes.
save.

raster, and you can paste by right clicking with the arrow tool or the moving tools on. You can do a lot of stuff by right clicking.

something you should know is just because you buy programs doesnt mean you press a button to make graphics
like anything else it involves skill and practice
no magic graphic maker

Indeed. A tutorial with picture references and such would do a lot more good than someone's explenation on a forum :D

Or, heaven forbid, you could *experiment*

I think I still have some of the first things I made with psp, years ago.

Ruby's right, you're only going to understand stuff if you try out a bunch of different things.

In the way of tutorials, there are heaps. Eyeball Design happens to be a favourite of mine, or Google for "Photoshop tutorials".
