Definatly. I actually felt embarassed when i saw the beggining with all that posing and "YRP!" stuff. The funny thing was there was no one around but i still felt extremely embarassed seeing it. But i still like the characters, although Yuna is kind of annoying at times.

They are a good team, They would not be annoying and gay.
They are way better than any Final Fantasy Girls I knew, I do like all Final Fantasy but FFX-2 is the Best to me.

With Rikku I was slightly disappointed. She seemed WAY to ditzy for her own good. However, I came to overlook this and found a deeper reason for this: she's a party girl!

Paine....she's good in battle and adds a little mystery with some dry humor.

I personally agree with bono clay about yuna (she was my least fav in X). I like rikku in both games but she has more depth imo in X. Paine I can't stand but I'm not interested in recieving more hate mail over that from Paine fans, so I won't go into that.

I don't have a problem for the whole Yrp thing going on haha. But yeah i don't see it. The whole yuna copying rikku thing is cute.. but after your first play through. You want to shove something down her throat. even thought MY favourite character on ff is yuna who cares.

I think they're just videogame characters, and it doesn't really matter. I found X-2 enjoyable for its battle system; outside of that, I tried not to pay attention too much.

X-2 did have an interesting battle system, but I felt some of it could have been better. That nonwithstanding, the fact that most of the characters (pretty much everyone outside of Paine and a select few others) were extremely irritating. The plot was so asinine, cliche, and utterly stupid that the game was utterly unbearable and the YRP thing was just another annoyance among many.

I don't think there's any need for anyone to respect other games. It's our opinion, and it's not hurting the game's feelings or anything. :p If you insulted my favorite game, or character, honestly, I wouldn't care one little bit. It doesn't change the fact that I still love that game, or that character, and no one else's opinion should make any difference. And yeah, please knock it off the PMs; every time someone insults your favorite game, you don't need to turn it into the Spanish Inquisition.

That said, I cannot stand YRP. They ruined the game, in my opinion. The gameplay was excellent, but the story and characters were a real letdown, for me.

I watched GameSauce once and they mentioned that Square deliberately redesigned the characters to be more obscene and revealing to further attract the male gamers. What a cheap way of advertising.

I believe that Square also made major changes not to add depth into the story but to further impress the fans which is a mortal sin in the field of art. Art is meant to express, not to impress.

I personally enjoyed this game a lot, and I thought the whole YRP thing was enjoyable, but like it was said it was a little corny.

And, Yuna Braska... Instead of saying: Respect everyone's favourite game and crap, you should be respecting people's opinions. Not everyone likes X-2, and thats that. You can't force people to say that they like it. Any topics I see made by you, I can tell thet its gonna be trying to force people to like YRP/X-2. Other people would probably enjoy the game if they took for it for what it is: a piece of fanservice. I enjoyed it and got exactly what I expected after the ending of FFX, so I'm satisfied. It should never be held as a standalone game though.

I'm going to assume you haven't played FFIX or anything before VII. Those are the great games, and compared to X-2, they are GODS. I suggest playing older FF's before making a decision. I used to never talk about anything but VII, but then I played VI and shut up.
