Well, I'll link you to a few good tutorials. :)

http://www.daydreamgraphics.com/d/tutorial/view/9

That has about 14 tutorials on it. Basically, practice and good images are what gets you far in Photoshop. :)

ok, I figured out how it is done, but I'm having trouble trying to get 2 pics (to blend) on 1 pic (final result). I know this has somwething to do with layers but when I make a new layer I don't know how to but the 2nd pic on it. Can someone help me?

Instead of giving you the answer, I shall give you a link, with a lot of answers :)

www.google.com (http://www.google.com)

You should be able to select the layer and simply put the pic on int though through copy and paste or file import - both methods should work in most cases. Unless i misread the question.

The best way to learn is by reasearching it on the web. Teach yourself, and you will grow in more ways than just PS use. Also, if you are interested, I am a big advocate of the gimp. The gnu image manipulation program. Its a great graphical program that is free and fun to use. A lot of built in features and a huge amount of add-ons. There are also tons of tutorials on this one.

Get it here: www.gimp.org (http://www.gimp.org)

Layers work like pieces of paper, if lay a blank piece of paper with on top of another piece that has something on it, you won't see what's under it. You've got cut out stuff from the top piece of paper, or delete stuff from the top layer. Play around the Layers Palette, you'll notice Transparency lets the bottom shine through, and Blend Modes. Most people feather their signatures together, I'm not going to get into that because there ARE a lot of tutorials that'll explain it a billions times better than me. Here are some sites with tutorials and resources:

www.pixel2life.com has a lot of Photoshop Tutorials
www.deviantart.com has a ton of Brushes, Fonts, and a nice community that'll offer very constructive criticism
http://user.fundy.net/morris/redirect.html?photoshop01.shtml has a PDF for the keyboard shortcuts

Tips:
Resize. Hit CTRL + T when you've got image you'd like to be smaller or bigger and grab the corners, if you hold down CTRL while you drag it'll constrain the proportions. When you've got a size you like: click the green checkmark in the upper right corner to rasterize it. Don't worry if the image looks distorted when you're resizing it, that's normal and it'll go away when you rasterize it. Adobe Photoshop CS2 has completely non-destructive resizing, there is no reason not to resize images.

Don't ignore Layer Styles. Try this, on the menu go to Layer > Layer Style > then click anything from Drop Shadow to Stroke. That'll open up a window with effects that can be added to the layer you're working with. This is especially good for text, because you can add a stroke (a stroke is just a border around whatever you're working with) or an outer glow to make the text transist with the background so it's always readable.

Don't ignore ImageReady. People often times forget it even exists... ImageReady can open a variety of animations, including .avi files (movies). Most people don't realize you can open actual movies and edit whatever frames you want to make an animated gif. You see that button at the very bottom of your Tools Bar in Photoshop? That takes the image you're working on to ImageReady. You can switch back and forth as you please.

Optimize to any files size. In the Save For Web Dialog you can optimize images to any file size. See the arrow to the right of the Presets drop box? Click it then click Optimize to Filesize. I find this nifty because most message boards have limits on your signatures file size.
