Quick question for the more experienced....

I'm looking to get a PS2 for my dorm room this year. I don't have much room and would like to save space by hooking it up to my computer monitor, rather than getting a TV (the roommate's got one already). My question is, what would I do for speakers? Any way to hook up a pair of headphones? And any reccommendations for a specific PS2 - VGA adapter?

Thanks!

There are devices that can take the two audio cords into them and put them into a standard computer speaker/walkman headphones cord, so you could switch it up that way. Ask people at Radio Shack, or someplace, about them.

I don't know about hooking it up to your computer monitor. There are VGA adaptors and things like that so I'm sure it's possible.

I've never seen a VGA adapter, but I'm sure some looking could turn one up - try lik-sang, since they usually have that kind of obscure stuff.

For the sound, get a stereo coax (female) -> minijack cable (male) and plug it in your mic input on your computer.

Gawrsh, that's expensive...

Anyone know if the ones on EBay are any good? They're about $20.

I'd recommend the line-in rather than the mic input of your computer, if only you want stereo rather than mono sound :p

My laptop's only input is stereo :p

I guess I need a better laptop and sound card for the PC then :p
