Okay well, now I'm getting jealous of all those UKers.
They already have cool accents, must they also have the meetups?
So, does anyone think this would work? The US is so gosh-darn big.

There have been many US meetups in the past.

One scheduled for next summer is CST-06 in Kansas City.

There's never been a North Easterner meet up. If I didn't have super strict parents and I had a car, I'd try to organize one. But eh, when I'm 17 and can drive, I'm sure I'll be able to be in one or organize one. :D

Yeah *pokesR* We need to get planning on CST2006. :x If anyone's interested in going to Kansas City (Worlds of Fun and/or perhaps concerts), feel free to speak with Rubah or myself. It'll probably be for about 2 days, but we're not too certain on it.

I made up the concert part, but KC has a lot of great concerts, so I thought I'd throw that in there for something we could all do.

I guess there isn't much of a chance that John Denver will be there next summer, is there?

I'm from Indiana. Dignified Pauper had talked about a 'Great Lakes State' meet up (Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, etc.). I wouldn't be able to go any way.... no car, no liscence, no money. I'm screwed.

Alternative. :/

That was the one good thing about having it possibly in New Orleans. Seeing a blues concert. Although I'm sure we could find a jazz place in KC or something.

Next Spring/Summer I should definitely be able to do something in the South Eastern US, but not during the months of May or July. I'd love to go to CST06, but that's just way too far ;_;

There should perhaps be an East coast meetup and West coast meet up. If you havent noticed, the USA is a big country

Funny how that leaves out the people in the middle.

CST2006 all the way, yo.

Perhaps it should be moved to a non-foa month, and other plans that concern foa should be done in june:OOOO

We've worked around foa's July hangup. ;)

they can't be *simultaneous* after all.

CST2006 I'm in of course.

If anyone wanted to do a separate Ohio meetup, that's fine too. I live in Northern Kentucky, about three miles from Cincinnati, Ohio. The metropolitan area of Cincy.

See, what we really need is a Northern California meetup. Us NorCal folks don't get much love.

I'm sure Tony will organize one.

Yea, I live in Atlanta and fully support SE US meetup stuffs, even if Psy happens to show up.

I used to be an Ohio person, but then I couldn't take it anymore.

Kamiko
08-27-2005, 11:42 PM
I moved from Ohio too.
Only I moved to Macon Georgia.
Well, actually about an hour out of Macon.
Now I'm in hell.
So, when's the meetup again?

It would be kinda cool to get two simultaneous meetups, one one the east coast, and one on the west coast.

Once again, this leaves out the people in the middle, who are the most important.

I'm shooting for an Alaska meet-up sometime in November/December, but I suppose somewhere on the east coast would be an alternative if that's a problem for anyone.
