The United Kingdom has. Although I have always been a fan of the Chilean national anthem after seeing their players patriotically singing it extremely loudly at the 1998 World Cup.

god save the queen is a horrible national anthem. it really is. i liked the soviet one. the internationale. i always find the fact that germany still uses it's national anthem funny as it's conotations. scotlands national anthem i have to say is an absolute dirge and i hate it.

Not a good national anthem? Not a good national anthem! Blimey, don't you realise what it is? It's a song that basically commands God (he works for us) to make sure our sovereign is safe, thusly allowing her to live well beyond normal life expectancy. So for example if the Royal Yacht is caught in the middle of a storm, then some patriotic soul can sing the national anthem and save her. It's utter genius!

I think to every patriot their national anthem is the best, and to every person a bit more skeptical about their nation the anthem is considered less than brillaint. Many anthems are inspiring others less so but to pick a definative one would be foolish. Besides i think they all sound the same when badly sung by the puplic at events.

I think the best anthem, well maybe it should be called a themesong, I made for my friend whom I call Canada on the basis that he is from Canada and I am not (go me! USA!). It certainly is one of the better themesongs in my opinion, but only if sung right and not infront of patriotic canadians. maybe when I finish the 2nd verse I will post it. I only have 4 lines so far. Im gonna go make more then post it up here. unless someone would prefer me not to.

After only 60 years we have forgiven the Germans and they put millions of jews into concentration camps.

Ive know people who have been descriminated against because they are english, it's just not right
