That's some interesting news in the interview - it looks like the regular version of AC is getting a 'recap' story, too - "Reminiscence", he called it.

Kinda hard to imagine Tetsuya Nomura saying "w00t" like he does in that article... certainly an interesting bit of translation:p

The fact that they still hadn't cast and recorded three major characters by the 8th of August is a bad sign that the delay could still be significant.

It seems as real progress is being made. AC could of seen release to end of EDIT: 2005 (sorry) if it wasn't for all the hard work.

But seriously, it would be smarter is they just realese it in DVD not theaters because,

1. Saves a lot of money

2. Saves a lot of time

3. JUST SMARTER TO EARN MORE MONEY!

So by mid fall or early winter, it will come out......hopefuly! :(
