FF2: Life16 = Life 2?

Funny title, damn right, but you know what I mean.
Since magic spells increase their characteristics, will that mean Life will eventually work as Life 2 at its highest level?

I'd imagine so. At each level, it heals more initial HP when cast. So eventually, it'll heal all HP.

EDIT: It not, then you need to ditch it and buy a new one, so it doesn't level as much. There's no use spending 16 MP for the same thing as spending 1 MP would do.
