It has come to my attention that, despite my best efforts over the years, some of you - in fact, many of you - have still not sent me a sample of your hair. So far, I have the hair of Leeza, Skye-chan, Nait, Denmark, Daryl, Sakura Yume, Chickencha, Black Mage 121, Yuffie de Leonhart (or whatever she might be called now), Eitenne and Ariel. I had Kalen's hair but MY SISTER VACUUM CLEANED IT UP. :cry: But yes. I need more, guys. Some of you have even told me you'd send me some... but it never arrived. :( This is a time to make a change, to make a difference, to send your hair to me, Loony BoB. You should consider this a vital step towards a better life.

Hair must have grown from the scalp, preferrably, however I may consider hair grown from the chin. Your hair will not be used for cloning... at least not in the immediate future.

You can either:

1) Put it in a sealed clear bag thing. This is the suggested option, if you have one available. This method was used by Leeza, Skye-chan, Yuffie de Leonhart, Black Mage 121 and Denmark.
2) Tie the hair up with a hairtie or a rubber band or a piece of string. This method was used by Daryl, Kalen, Etienne, Nait and Ariel.
3) Tape the hair to your letter. This method was used by Sakura Yume and Chickencha, and is suggested if you have extremely short hair.

This 'hair fetish' came about when someone made a thread many years ago asking what people's favourite smells are. I said that the smell of a girl's hair right after it's been washed is the greatest smell in the world, easily. I think after that someone asked which girl had the best smelling hair or something, and I told everyone to send me their hair so I could judge 'em. They generally lost their smell by the time they got here but since then it's become a bit of a hair collection for the sake of doing something, er, unique. :D

I have no problem with this. Denmark sent me a decent amount as it is. xD But personal preference is something that will fit into an envelope. If you're going to send a lot, I'd need it in a sealable bag, too, so I can make sure it doesn't fall out everywhere.

When I send mail home to the US I don't have to use stamps. I can just write free postage on it and send it off. I usually draw my own little picture for a stamp. Will free postage work to Scotland too or do I need to use some stamps?

As for sending stuff from the US to the UK, most people who have done this have used around 66-80c to send an average sized envelope with a couple of pieces of paper and a small amount of their hair in it. Someone from the US would be a better person to ask this, to be sure, though.

I must admit I haven't actually gone around smelling any of the hair. Although I have done so with Stefanie (Etienne), whom I do have the hair of... but that was while it was still on her head. I've also been able to smell the hair of Lenna, Miriamel and uh... yeah, I think that's it. Maybe Nikkei or Dan at some point, too, I'm not really sure. Probably my sister, Tweety_ch1ck, too. Oh, and my cousin, ms_devli. And my stepbrother, Loony JosH. Although with most of these people it's unintentional.

Ideal hair size: A lock of hair... think finger-length for those of you with long hair. But not thinger thickness. I'd say more the thickness of a mouse cord would be preferred. Yes, it's all very technical!

But seriously, send however much you want. Just remember that if it's a lot, I'd rather it be in a sealable bag, and if it's a little, I'd rather it taped to the paper or in a sealable bag purely so I don't lose it. Anything average-sized can be either placed in a sealable bag or tied with a piece of string, rubber band, hair tie or ... something. You get the idea. I hope.

I should scan the stuff I already have. I'll try to remember for tomorrow.
