Quite a well played match, that Welsh goalie was amazing!

so what are your opinions (1-0 to England!!!)

Rooney didn't play that well but there was some good goal keeping and defending, could of done better (I was shouting like a banshee when they scored, I was at a pub :D no I wasn't drunk)

Unfortunately, I couldn't watch it. I wish I could (I want to stay tuned not only to Brazil x Chile tomorrow, but also to Europe to see if there're any more countries already qualifiying to the next World Cup)... When will England play its next match? I'm guessing October, but I'm not sure...

I think the good footy doctor will know that.

Who was the Wales goal keeper? He was absolutely amazing!

XD far off from you're guess DDK, lol.

So what did you think of the performance of England Tomamar04?

Not bad. Defence seemed pretty solid, and good performance by Robinson, but Lamaprd was useless, and he isn't right for England IMO. Beckham will bne slated yet again, but he was one of the best players on the field. Rooney had a quiet game I thought, lack of service.

Rooney was mostly standing there but he did get the ball upfield a few times. Joe Cole did well, Gerrard had a good match.

I think we should keep Robinson as goalie. (DAVID JAMES IS FRIGGIN' USELESS!!!)

I reckon Erikson hasn't got much more to offer, one more wrong move and pop goes the weasel.

Being from Wales, I was rather torn as to who to support. I resigned myself to the fact that we have no chance of qualifying, so my thinking was if England needed this game to qualify, I would back them. For the greater good, y'know. But I found myself subconsciously backing Wales when watching it. :/

We missed a few chances at the start of the match, a good attempt in the first 30 seconds though.

Who is the Welsh goal keeper?

Coyne.

Spectacular save from a Rooney shot I about 60 minutes in where he tipped it over the bar.

He was amazing! blocking a Rooney shot with ease like that. No wonder we only won 1-0.

I think we should keep Robinson as goalie. (DAVID JAMES IS FRIGGIN' USELESS!!!)Robinson has been our permanent keeper since David James's Austria mistake. The Denmark game was a last chance to prove himself, and well...I don't think I need to tell you how well that went.

*Shudders*

even Mart Poom is better than David James.

So how many more matches till the qualificiation rounds are over?

We have to play Northern Ireland (away) on Wednesday, and then we play Austria and Poland (both at home) in a month's time.

Righto.

So how many are needed to be won to qualify?

If I am correct, England have 19 points and Poland have 21, but we have a game in hand. Now then, I think our last game is against Poland, so it all depends on that, but if we can win our next two games (N. Ireland and Austria) then we only need to draw against the Poles to qualify. I do believe we only need one win out of the three to guarantee second place and a place in the playoffs, although we might qualify automatically if we have the best record, which is looking promising at the moment.

Do Spurs fans still chant "Nayim from the halfway line"?Nope, which shows they have a better grasp of current events than I had previously thought. Unfortunately they're so intent on showing everyone their hip new attitude that they've signing almost every young British midfielder in existence.

And Edgar Davids.

Also, what the hell was the point in signing Jenas for £7m when they have said dutchman as well as the likes of Michael Carrick? Oh Spurs, you so crazy.

Oh Spurs, you so crazy.I have the perfect joke to insert here, but I'm not sure how jokingly anti-semitic the rules of this message board allow me to be. Just assume that it was really funny and laugh a lot, plzkthx. :thumb:
