I'm doing some mixing in my spare time from this whole foreign exchange fiasco, and well... I need suggestions for software. What I need is something that I can use to speed up music without altering the quality or changing the pitch. Does anyone know what I can use to accomplish this?

Try windows media player I think Winamp does it.

There's a plugin for Winamp that does it very nicely, called Chronotron. Unfortunately I can't find the download site or anything but it should be easy to find through google etc.

That does wonders. Is there anyway I can save the file in it's new format? Or is something else required for that?

I'm not sure about that either, sorry.

Audacity. Its free(open source), and sexy. I think it will do what you need.

Download it here :D (http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/Audacity/)

Reason is an extremely good program. Costs money though, but it's damn good. It'd be worth the buy, in my opinion.

And now I fourth it, because it did exactly as I wanted. If anyone wants to close this thread now, by all means do so. I got what I needed. :)

Sweet, Glad it helped :)

There are loads of online tutorials around if you google it up. The program is one of the better shareware peices I have ever found to be quite honest.
