So who really uses GFs to attack?

people always (from what I've seen) seem to talk about always having to use GF's- and you don't only very little at the beginning of the game. And you don't even need to then as if you just play cards and you've fought a little (alright using them a little is good) you can junction so that attack does more very, very early into the game. So I have usually utterly stopped using them (except to watch the beautiful graphics) before the first Laguna scene, as the enemies their give you aereo and tornado if you use GF abilities. The problem with doing this is bosses are too weak.

I can deal 2k damage to x-atm092 with Quezacotl, I'd like your regular attack outdamaging that without insane junctions.
I never said I was dependent on it, I just said it can be more effective in the beginning of, especially agaist enemies with elemental weaknesses.

I used to use them all the time. Now i swap GF for Item in the menu screen and never use them, only to see the animations :D

First few playthroughs (Or attempted play throughs, i still haven't beaten the game) all I used were GF for every battle, boss battles, regular battles, I never used normal attacks because I couldn't figure out the junction system, and I still wouldn't call myself a master. I was fully dependant on them.

Cerebrus was useless to me because I never used magic. I used the GFs to attack a lot now that I think about it.

i use gfs mostly with my other two characters, and squall does the attacking and magic...
this is because i deck out squall through each of my players (always on accident, tho) and so he's hella strong but the other characters are WEAK, so i just make them use their gfs and maybe cure.

well i didn't go through the steps of juction so well in the training center my butt was kicked but i got to level seven before fighting ifrit.(mabye i should of save those exp. points for my GF?)

i only use GFs for junctioning and summon them only once in non important battles to know what they look like and do.

i use GF quite a lot because they ARE decent enough attacks to be honest arent they? (ahem Eden ahem) i mean they block damage too in a manner of speaking they just take the damage, just remember that when you fight Omega Weapon a GF is the only way (unless you use "The End") to prevent dying from Omegas attack "Terra Homing" they have theyre uses, mostly for junctioning, i remember at the end of one of my game si had everyone with a junction for everything (i mean element attack / defence x4 and status attack / defence x4) except squall didnt have hit-j because he never misses :p

it all dpends on strategy.my strategy is use good junctions and just attack.i hardly even use magic and if you get 99 megalixirs from bahamuts card you just need to use one of them every now and then.

You can just use "Defend" and you can survive Terra Break. Anyway, I hardly summon GF at the end of the game when you have good junctioning and all this.

I only ever use carbuncle and cerberaus and they don`t attack they just use triple and reflect...i think.
