Steel pipes and malboro tentacles?

Where are they please?

Steel Pipes are won or Mugged from Wendigos, which you'll find frolicking around in the Galbadia region. There's one area near Deling City that's squared off by the road and traintracks where they have a fairly high encounter rate.

Malboro Tentacles have to be won or Mugged from Malboros, which are mostly found on the Islands Closest to Heaven & Hell. You can run into them on the Esthar continent every now and then, but the Islands are your best bet. You can also Card Mod them from Malboro cards at 4:1, but it's probably not worth the hassle.

Okay I`ve got 6 remedy+ and 6 steel pipes but I`ve only got 3 malboro tentacles, I only need to mug one more malboro but his bad breath attack stops me before Zell has a chance to mug!!! any ideas

You might consider using Pandemona's Initiative ability, which would allow a character to Mug before the Malboro has a chance to act.

Junction 100 Berserks, Sleeps, Blinds, and Confuses to your status defense and you should be good. Also, have that character have Sirens 'Treatment' ability equiped.

Yeah I tried that but Zell never mugs it the first time and he only gets one chance.

I'm fairly sure that Initiative doesn't work. Bad Breath activates immediately, while with Initiative you have to select the command and implement it.

Get a status guard, which gives you status-defx4 ability. Cerberus has a status-defx4 ability as well. Then junction 100X Pain, Confuse, Berserk, and sleep (I think) to Status defense. As well, as already mentioned, have Siren's treatment command junctioned to the person with Status-defX4, and keep mugging until you get one.

Or you could just forget about mugging, junction 100X Firaga to elem-atk-j, and kick the crap out of 'em. As long as you have the right junctioning to status defx4, you'll be able to survive bad breath. I think one victory will get you four, if not a few tentacles.

Or you could card the Marlboro, which gets you the tentacles, as well as a Marlboro card.

Odin showed up one time, I was quite happy.
The other time I used Auto-Haste, mugged it, was attacked with Bad Breath, but eventually ran away with more Marlboro Tentacles.
The forest right near Dollet is the best place to find Wendigos in order to receive Steel Pipes.

Thanx guys finally did it!!! now all I need to do is get tonberry and then beat ultima to get eden. any tips for that?
