how did you get banned from EoEO?

Well I just found out I got kicked off of EoEO for "spamming" I beleive. I can understand teh reasoning for teh ban in such a case that I used a smilie drinking beer twice and said that the character I roleplay could drink...but I mean still, this is my FIRST infringement of teh general rules and it says under the rules :
Banning. Banning is permanent. Everyone gets at least one warning by PM before we ban you, except in extreme cases. Extreme cases include mass spamming or advertising, posting or linking to porn or even porn-related / implied material, or posting extreme disturbing content, all of which will get you banned without warning. Considering there are members as young as 10 here, we want to keep the place on a family-friendly suitable level in general. We reserve the right to ban anyone for any reason, but we generally don’t ban anyone unless they’re being a huge jerk about something. But once you’re banned, you’re gone for good. Be nice and you don’t have to worry about it.

I don't think I really was being a huge jerk about anything and I can see the logic behind the ban, but at the same time I don't think I broke the rules enough to get banned on my first time. Thoughts?

You don't have to be a <i>huge</i> jerk to get banned from those forums. Being a semi-jerk is good enough and zero tolerance means zero tolerance.

Permanent Bans and EoEO Bans are two different things. If you had a permanent ban you would have a nice pink title and you would no longer to able to post anywhere in EoFF.

An EoEO Ban is usually for two weeks for your first offense. After a few of these, it then will become a permanent EoEO Ban where you will no longer be able to view or post in the EoEO or the EotW Forums.

The warnings for those two forums are in the forum description as well as the IMPORTANT thread that should be read before posting in them. No other warning is required.

For permanent bans, you would get at least one PM first advising you to curb whatever it is that you're doing that you shouldn't be doing. After that, your fate is basically in your own hands.

The second time, it was because I got tired of not just the ignorance in there, but the people being stubborn about it -- ignorance and arrogance is not a good combination -- so I made a post prettymuch calling everybody in that thread stupid, and saying that anybody who agrees with a certain idea is a dumbass. I still stick by that idea, but oh well.

No cloud. Your ban was actually for 15 days because of that banning spree that BoB and gang went on a few weeks back. Bans had to be reset and they were reset to the be the closest to the original ban as possible. In your case it was set again to 10 days which made it a bit over the original 14 days. Not sure about Lindy and the rest because I wasn't involved in those bannings/unbannings, but it seems to me that they might have been reset back to there original times.
