My brother wants to join this site, but Im worried about him getting himself banned. Since it's the same computer, wont I be blocked too? I dont really know about the IP Address thing, but from reading stuff here, it seems that all access from that computer is blocked. He's only ten, so he might do something silly and get himself banned.

So if he does get banned, will I be too?

Not now at least.

The first ban would be on the user account. If we continue to have trouble with him (ie second accounts etc) then we'll probably IP ban, yes.

You could always teach him internet etiquette before letting him join :D

Ten year olds really shouldn't be joining this community.

Don't we have quite a few 10 year olds already? :p

I think we had only one and she's like 13 or 14 now.

10 year olds that play Final Fantasy, IMO, are more mature than OTHER 10 year olds.

Knowing him, he'd probably make a thread named "How dumb is Andreil?"

Would connecting my personal computer to the internet work? Or does IP ban effect everything in the house? I dont know anything about it?

Look, they aren't going to IP ban your little brother, because they realise that your 10 year old brother, probably hasn't got the savvy to create dupe accounts and won't merit an IP ban.

Ok?

But if he does, then we will. :p

As for your personal PC, it depends on how it is that you connect to the internet. Is it a home network or are all the PCs using a seperate connection?

Im getting a seperate connection, so my mum and I can be online at the same time
