You can post this in the help forum; Also your download speed depends on how fast the computer you are downloading from can spit out the file (upload speed) p2p programs (that is what this is) wok by basically putting you on someones computer so you can download thier files.

Also, if you are downloading from very few people, it can go slow, as some of them may be on dial-up.. Right-click on the download and choose "Find More Sources". That should help.

If you've got a router, try forwarding the ports for the different P2P applications. Also make sure your firewall is always letting stuff through.

Shareaza is a pretty finicky program, I've noticed. It runs pretty well on my computer, but my friends all have problems with it. If you're getting a lot of problems with it, just try out Limewire. You can't find as obscure stuff with it, but it seems to go faster.

It should be pointed out that getting viruses on any P2P program can be avoided by responsible downloading. The Shareaza program itself doesn't have any spyware, adware, viruses, etc.

Just be aware of what you're downloading. If it says it's Doom 3, but it's only 25kb, chances are good it's not Doom 3. Be aware, scan everything, and you should be alright.

P2P just means peer-to-peer. Any program where people share files that you can download are called peer-to-peer or P2P programs. Limewire, Shareaza, Kazaa, Napster, etc. are all P2P programs.

Contact whoever you're downloading it from and tell them to get a better internet connection.

Contact whoever you're downloading it from and tell them to get a better internet connection.

That's basically your only option. It won't go faster unless more people start seeding or the person your downloading it from gets a faster connection.
