I have two... here's some clues:

#1:

"Tale as old as time... true as it can be..."

#2:

"Someday my prince will come, someday I'll find my love..."

I LIKE:

Aladdin + The Return of Jafar
The Little Mermaid
Beauty and the Beast
Robin Hood
Sleeping Beauty
Snow White
Mulan
Hercules
Tarzan
The Lion King
....

Basically I like all of them except The Fox and the Hound and The Hunchback of Notre Dame, because those two make me cry. I also really really really like Anastasia and The Swan Princess but those two aren't Disney, more's the pity.

Jewels
09-13-2005, 11:33 AM
Definitely The Lion King, followed by Hercules and Aladdin.

Spirited Away, lol

I haven't seen how they did with that one yet. But I have their dub of Princess Mononoke, and I have Nausicaa and Laputa on DVD and I think they did an excellent job on all of them. But I'm not sure choosing any of these count XD If so I'd have to go with Nausicaa, my idol. Otherwise, I vote The Little Mermaid. Which I think was a turning point in Disney theatrical animation. It sorta started a style that stayed on with Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin and just kept going.

Robin Hood

The Summoner of Leviathan
09-14-2005, 02:27 AM
The works of Hayao Myazaki are not editted, that is a part of their contract with Studio Ghibli. *has Spirited Away on DVD and watched the extras* But I really wouldn't consider them Disney for it is just they got the rights to translate them, they are not originally done by Disney Studios. Saying that mine are:

The Lion King, Mulan, Alladin, Heracles (Eventhough they molested the Greek Myths), and others that I cannot think of right now.

My favorite has always been Sleeping Beauty. There's something about that particular story, plus the nostalgia factor that makes it perfect.

Traitorfish
09-22-2005, 07:21 PM
Err... the Emperor's New Groove, unfortuanately. I know it wasn't really the same, but it had llamas and funny jokes, and that's not in any of the others.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame was quite good- it wa very operatic and dramatic. Although I think the pole-dancing bit is a little out of place in a kids film...

I must be about the only one that can't stand watching The Lion King.

I really like The Incredibles, even though Pixar actually made it and they've split from Disney. Or something like that.

Shadowflare
09-28-2005, 01:56 AM
I don't really like Disney that much, and never have really cared for their movies or productions in general. But for a non-Pixar flick, I would have to say that Aladdin was my favorite. Outside of that, the Incredibles wins hands-down with me.

That's part of the reason why I like it so much, it because it's so different from regular Disney movies, a lot more mature.

It's awesome.

The Little Mermaid, The Lion King and The Emperor's New Groove. All three were great movies.

But on a completely unrelated note, does anyone remember a movie called Rock-A-Doodle? It's a animation/bastardization of the play Chantacleer. Still, good stuff.

You make me cry, people. Why hasn't anyone mentioned BAMBI?! *cries*
It's one of the most beautiful, magnificent movies and it's everything a perfect movie should be. About growing up, losing, loving, and, my favorite subject, NATURE <3<3<3 There is nothing unloveable about Bambi. It's perfect. ^^

I also love The Lion King, Aristocats, Beauty and the Beast, and the Lady and the Tramp :)
