i saw resident evil (not apocolypse) and its quite alot better then the 2nd one (i saw it first), does anyone else like this movie?

if you see the 2nd one first, the 1st one seems that it would make a great prequal.

Being quite a big Resident Evil game fan, I was kind of peeved when the first movie came out. It didnt live up to the games. But after a while it grew on me. The second one was also good but I think the first one is scarier and has a better atmosphere. Plus the music from the first one owned the music (was there even music? didnt notice) in the second one. One thing that was cooler in the second one was the Nemesis and Jill Valentine.

Yeah he did. But his coolness made up for that. When he came walking up to that dude sitting behind that sign up on that roof and fired a rocket at him......sigh.......if the Nemisis wasnt a big hunk of rotting mutant flesh id marry him :love: The only thing i didnt like about him is how he turned good at the end....the nemesis from the game was the physical form of evil and would never become good.

RE was certainly the better of the two, but both were still utter crap. If you want to watch a zombie movie, there are much better ones to choose from, and if you want RE, the games are 100 times better than the movies.

I seen the first movie get this common review, that is why I think they went with the whole super action stess on the second. I like em both, but there genre seems totally different to me.

The movies fill nothing from the games. The movies and the Games are completely different. All you have to do is watch RE Apocilypse and play RE3 and you can see this. Its like anime movies and anime series', usually the movie isnt part of the story line of the series: eg: Nija Scroll. Well same diff with the RE movies. Basically if you go by the movies then the games never took place and if you go by the games the movies never took place. Unless the other took place in an alternate universe :D (which is FF talk not RE talk).

I believe it was originally stated that the first RE movie was intended as a prequel to RE1, however you are certainly right in that Apocalypse pretty much blew that idea out of the water.
