The animation is the best I've ever seen, as well as the actionscenes (especially the use of slow motion was wonderful).
I think the story was a bit thin for a FF-title.
Although it was great fun to watch, I'm used to better things with a Square-Enix sign :)

It was better that Spirits within, thats the main thing, when I watched it first it felt like I was reliving something I already knew, I didnt care it was short, it was a awsome sequal to FFVII

i have got the limited edition boxset..... of this movie and it is great :) u get the cloud model, t shirt, hat, keychain, ff7 international, and the rare ova, plus the script... in my opinion this is a great movie :D i loved it!!!!

I love it! I downloaded it yesterday (no subtitles so I have no idea what anyone is saying, but the fight scenes are awesome and everything looks so beautiful).

I loved it. I watched it last night, and I am glad I figured out how to have the subs working, I could understand what was being said. :) Plan on buying it when it is released over here too. I loved Marlene.. and Reno and Rude.

I thought the movie was really good, i did expect more to be revealed about the story from the original game though. the CG is extremely well done and the fighting is also well done, espically in the church that was wicked and Loz's cell phone was just histerical. One thing i thought was a little werid was the fighting was like Dragon Ball Z or something, flying through mid air at high speeds and jumping around on debris from the Shinra tower was just a little much BUT it was well done. I DO suggest you wait for the states release instead of buying a japanese copy or downloading it, the suspense will highten the awesomness.

It was a bit lacking in the story. I had no idea where that Genostat disease (or whatever it's called) came from and how it originated but at least the fight scenes compromised. I loved the movie! Tifa and Yuffie are drawing out the lsebian sides of me... :D

Another thing that's leaving me hanging is that the other characters such as Barret, Cid, Red XIII, Cait Sith, Yuffie and Vincent all had appearances too short! I WANT MORE!!

Just so you know, the geostigma came from when jenova merged her cells with the lifestream, which i think Sepiroth planned on doing all along which makes the whole game look kinda futile, and its true that the other chars were with too short but after all it was a movie and movies cant be too long(could have been a little longer though). But did anyone notice the slight miss with Cid? He doesnt smoke at all during the entire movie. Thats a little bit weird. AND TO ALL OF YOU WHO HONESTLY THINK THIS MOVIE SUCKED: YOU SHALL ALL BURN IN HELL WITH CONSTANT DIARREA WITH RUSTY NAILS THROUGH YOUR ENTIRE BODY, THIS IS THE GREATEST MOVIE OF ALL TIMES!

Geostigma was a disease caused from the jenova cells in the lifestream getting into normal bodies and the bodies overdo themselves ending up in Geostigma.

I loved it: AC might be under-rated by others, but I think they did the very best of fitting time contraints, action and storyline. Everything was placed together as perfect as it could/would have been. Graphics 9/10, Music 10/10, storyline 8/10, overall 9/10. Will watch over and over. ^^.

i think because VII's storyline was confusing, it was only natural that AC's was to be as well. it was awesome, but the plot i think could've been better. just a lil, because it was pretty good to begin with.

The visual effects were outstanding, but there is major discretion within the characters, plot and storyline. The characters were majorly undeveloped, and the plot and storyline did not make sense or go together very well. This is certainly not the best movie, but FF7 fans will still enjoy it.

Well, The thread is called who else has seen advent children. You can hate it but you´re going to be hate, It´s kind of ironic because I liked even better "Last order" is more like the old game and people bring on those stupid things like the plot have not the same dialogs or a litlle bit of differences, and I hate that, Square made the original, square is in the right to say " hey, we think that this is the way the story should have been told years ago", so, there is always somebody that likes to say no just because everybody is saying yes. Greastest movie of all times, in my opinion. The storyline isn't shallow to me since this is a SEQUAL of the game and not a seperate movie in it's own. I just think of it as a section of the game just done REALLY well.

I think the wolf represents Aeires. Don't ask me why but it's just how i feel about it. I mean you see it hanging around the old buster sword in the ground and the other part i remember it was in the Ancient Forest and at the end of the movie after cloud exploded in a firey mass.

Has to be one of my fav films, I'm definatly buying it on DVD. No matter how many times I watch it I never get bored of it, nice n action packed, funny in parts too. Reno and Rude RAWKED! :D

But I think the film is better for those who have actually played and completed FFVII, one of my friends who never played it watched the film and didn't understand any of it.

Wow Square Enix should give them selves a pat on the back.....However stuff like Mobile Phones, The annoying straying plot hole explanations, Cait Sith And Children Kinda put the movie off.
