Well, Chrono Trigger is an easier undertaking than the rest of the choices, so I say start with that. If you play Xenogears first, it will spoil subsequent RPG's you play. You've been warned!

Or, Chrono Trigger which is very short, AND THEN FF VII.

Does xenogears take awhile to get into? 'cause my version freezes right around when the desert ship picks you up. I didn't find it that thrilling up to that point. But I always hear that it's storyline is unparalleled in craziness. And I like that lol. If it is, I suppose we could wait 'til it's re-made as Xenosaga 3 (it is the 3rd is it not?)

No, it most definitley is not the third episode of Xenosaga. That's another game altogether, and it's coming out...I don't remember when.

I was pretty hooked on Xenogears from the beginning, though, until the Nortune part, which I found extremely boring.
