Im talking about the Tissue (this ones a little tough) , Super Sweeper (a new machine to protect the reactor), and the 1/35 Soldier...

i think FF9 has them too...

They're just for collection purposes. Nothing more.

Where do you get the Super Sweeper? And how many 1/35 soldiers are there?

the soldiers serve the purpose of getting Sephiroth on your team... But it involves the Ultimate Cheese Weapon, the Weapon trio of Onyx, Beryl, and Amethyst, and a slew of other awesome side-quests too awesome for this thread.

Two 1/35 soldiers can be found in Junon, but the total in one's inventory can be raised to 99 by winning them at Speed Square. Super Sweepers, like Masamune Blades, are exclusive to Speed.

Im talking about the Tissue (this ones a little tough)[...]

The Tissue isn't the only "useless" item at Battle Square. After unlocking the special battle, the items Combat Diary, Autograph, and Gambler also become available. Like the rest, these items are pointless, no matter how many you obtain.

i think FF9 has them too...

There are no inventory items in FFIX with no purpose, although most Key Items have little relevance beyond indication of completion of a task and filling out information ablout a character or the plot. One Key Item, interestingly, is called the Autograph.

The description for a 1/35 soldier suggests that there are "12 in the set," although this has no actual application of any sort. Instead, the description has given birth to a host of stupid rumors concerning uses for the item. There are none.

so they have no true meaning apart from giving people a reason to make rumors? cool, useless items.....!

Those items only exist to confuse and lead players on

The Tissues are for crying over Aeris' grave when you realize she's not going to be resurrected.

Maybe it's Square's dastardly way of intriguing the players into some special secret location or item.

"Crying" as in, tears of happiness.

collect 99 of each unusable item and you can Revive Aeris and get Sephiroth in your party.

Or just sell them on eBAY.

She's a weak ass character with an un-merited fan base in my opinion. I never liked Aeris. I didn't even care the first time I saw her die.

Harsh, but I must say, you have a v good point, most of the people who like her only do cos they can't get a real girlfriend.

And the 1/35 Soldier are obviously what Barret gives Marlene to play with, since he doesn't care if she grows up to be a tomboy.

Or "crying" If Square remakes VII and allows Aeris to be ressurected.

Light Mage:
"Maybe they'll have a secret use in another game, imagine if you can load up your FFVII data from another game and the items are imported and have important uses... that'd be cool!"
