Green Bottle in Kalm

Upstairs in one of the houses in Kalm there's a green bottle (looks like an Ether?) but Cloud always says he can't reach it.

What's supposed to happen?

Keep trying, he'll eventually get frustrated, kick the cabinet, and the item will fall (I believe it's a Megalixer, I cant remember offhand).
