Think rock-ish music with trumpets.

If you want to find out what ska is, it's best listening to a band by it. I suggest The Specials, Mustard Plug or Save Ferris. :)

Its a combo of Rock band and Jazz Band. Rock with saxaphones, trumpets and trombones.

Its good stuff!

I recommend Skankin' Pickle. The Specials and Mustard Plug are good, but I've always felt that, while Save Ferris is good, their brand of ska is a little watered down.

ska happens to be one of tyhe most fun music genres ever. download some aquabats songs and you'll see. if you for some reason want some ska in spanish i suggest desorden publico. thats a good band.

I like what I've heard of it, which isn't much. It's so uncommon next to other genres.

Yeah, The Specials are a good place to start, and also Madness.

Yeah, The Specials are a good place to start, and also Madness.

Madness are pratically an institution in the UK. They've even got their own musical. (http://www.albemarle-london.com/ourhouse.html)

Reel Big Fish and Less Than Jake are the only two ska bands that I know of. Both are decent, but ska really isn't my thing.

My town has a local ska band, they're really fun to listen to. Ska isn't my favourite genre, but it's definitely the most fun.

PS: I can't skank for my life. :(

I love ska. Specifically Suburban Legends and Operation Ivy. I like what I've heard of The Specials (which isn't much, just Gangsters off of the SLC Punk! soundtrack) also.
