During the ending credits, we see Cloud driving around on his motorcycle around the countryside. In a flower field we see a certain familiar figure watching him...

Woah, I didn't know about this alternate ending, was it on the Japanese special edition?

Cantonese DVD only, special box set that also comes with an alternate ending for Xenogears, where Fei wakes up and finds out it was all a dream, only to realise he has to spend his days in some backwater village for the rest of his life.

How come this wasn't screened in Venice? XD Guess I'll have to buy the Cantonese DVD to see it!

In my opinion, it represents that Cloud is free from his guilt, and Aerith is watching over him. But I don't think that it represents Cloud's searching for Aerith and for the Promised Land, as some people thinks.

Well I was going to get the German dubbed special edition 'cause it comes with a special bottle of Shinrabrau, but I guess I'll be springing for the Cantonese version instead. Unless someone finds out which special edition it is where they re-added the scene they originally had where Tifa and Cloud make sweet love down by the fire.
