Okay, the Revolution controller is old news now. We've heard and all formed our own opinions, blah blah blah... That's not what this thread is about.

What it IS about is that Squenix has announced that they have TWO CC games in the works. One for the DS, which has the obvious main screen/menu screen benefit, but the other is for the Revolution. Now, maybe I'm being a little judgemental here, but the Revolution's controller doesn't seem terribly well suited for this game. It's still too early to tell of course, but... Well, what do YOU think?

Wierd, I can imagine playing other games on the Revolution quite easily, but it doesn't seem right for CC, unless the gameplay is getting changed.

I think we'll have to wait and see the finalized Revolution controller and it's add-ons to judge, but I imagine Square can find a way to make a fairly intuitive control setup.

The controller for the Revolution looks like a remote control, but there are instances where it could be used to strongly benefit a game where one must go through menus quickly and decisively. I could see them adding a more ingenious interface with the support of the innovation that the controller brings.

I don't know how they will allow each player to access his menu without cluttering the screen, but I do hope that one of those versions adds some form of online support. It would have been nice to play this game with friends that you can't see everyday, you know?

Considering that the Revolution is going to be very online friendly, they might just do that. I suspect they're going to HAVE to use a different controller shell, since there's just no real way to make the standard controller work with the FFCC gameplay.
