i was lookin thru some older general chat things and in the if you were a cid's knight for a day thing from a few days ago, a handful of people said they would unban people, can people be unbanned? and if they can whats the point of banning them

EDIT: just realized there could be a temp ban, but seems like the only temp bans anyone talks about are from EoEO

the point is that maybe some people think some of the banned members didn't deserve to be banned, like Peter. Some may have been friends with a banned member and misses them and wants them back, like Baloki. Some may just think the banned member is plain awesome, and wants them back, like kirk81, ffbabe and Kathryn.

However these are just words said by members and are probably not going to happen. I myself would like to see all of those I mentioned unbanned though. That'd be awesome.

Oh, and there are other temp bans. Like usernote ban that was just recently invented, and no custom rank ban (Spuuky), and no signature ban.

in order to be unbanned you have to be Linus.

Unbanned is a mirage created by the higher powers to give us false hope.

It's like a two year thing now if all of staff agrees to let the person back in.

which we probably won't.

Alright but why ban someone like Kathryn when absaloutely everyone loves her?

I read a few of her posts.I think it probably had something to do with her “who hates the site staff?” thread....

Meh, she seemed completely insane to me...

At a board as large as EoFF, people like Kathryn have to be banned for the purpose of decorum. Or something. Anyway, she was breaking a lot of the rules by doing what she did, even though she unintentionally generated complete hilarity in the process.

For the record, I'd love to see people like kirk81, Kathryn and ff babe unbanned, but it's just not going to happen.

Kathryn seriously regrets her actions. She probably wouldn't come back anyway, as she said 'i acted like a jerk'. I tried to talk sense but she would not listen and reported me

It's like a two year thing now if all of <s>staff</s> the Nazi Regime agrees to <s>let the</s> not persecute and tourture the innocent then person may come back <s>in</s> when they feel is safe again.

I didn't say nothing :shifty:  :implodes?:

BoB's one step away from letting him post in the other forums because it's important for site staffers to be in touch with common-forums-man.

Kathryn seriously meant what she said. She wants to come back so badly she keeps coming into chat. Calling everyone there jerks. I tried to get her to leave but she wouldn't so I gave up

Would saying "Kathyrn is stupid" be flamming, even though shes not on EoFF anymore? Thats kinda like saying GWB is stupid. And he cant see this either? So what is it? Oh, twisting the brain, oou!
