Lebron James.

Pheesh
10-01-2005, 05:17 AM
never been a fan of lebron myself.

Nash (long haired people can play basketball)
Pierce ('carn Boston)
Bogut (aussie aussie aussie)
Garnett (because he's just cool)

I'm a bit worried though because the draft takes place at about 4:00am or so for me =/

I can change the time for it to better suit you but that might be hard since most of us live in the US. What is a reasonable time in your area that also is reasonable in ours?

I like Pierce. And Nash was out of control last year.

well i think i'm back at school around that time so it could be hard to work it. What's the average time difference and i'll give you a list of options :)

If necessary, you can always just pre-rank your players, and Yahoo will draft a team for you. Yahoo drafted some pretty solid teams for a couple of fantasy football managers who couldn't make the live draft this year (myself included).

Pheesh
10-01-2005, 06:00 AM
yeah, but when i did that i came back the next day and my options were gone. I'll do it again eventually though.

Auto draft is solid. It has drafted me a couple championship teams. What time zone are you in, ee?

Pheesh
10-01-2005, 07:52 AM
australia, perth. I think we're +6 or 8 hours if i remember right.

Ok, what if I switched it to 6PM Pacific on a Saturday? I think that would be 9AM your time on a Sunday. It would also be 9PM for the East Coast which shouldn't be too late, even though champ might have a hot date at that time.

Pheesh
10-01-2005, 04:31 PM
that's about 7pm over in perth which works for me. :)

Wait, what? If you're +6-8, than 9 PM EST (which is -5), is 8-10 AM your time.

who did what with the when how? i was guessing from memory when i said that. I could have been (and most probably was) entirely wrong and i meant a.m. sorry.

UPDATACON: we have eight teams. will we be cutting?

Raistlin
10-01-2005, 07:25 PM
Cutting? I thought eight was what we were aiming for.

Del Murder
10-01-2005, 08:52 PM
I might cut down the rosters anyway, makes it more of a challenge for me.

Pheesh
10-02-2005, 04:21 AM
i meant cutting the roster.

Raistlin

Yeah, I know. But I thought the league was made for roughly 8 people. :p

Pheesh
10-02-2005, 05:15 AM
ah, if we get more i don't think we could just cut them could we? Plus, it wouldn't be very humane.

Peace out and
EE

Del Murder
10-02-2005, 05:21 AM
No one will be cut out. If more people join I will just reduce the roster sizes to a more competitve level. I might do that anyway, since it levels the playing field and provides for a more competitive game.

10-23-2005, 12:35 AM
man my team rocks.

Raistlin
10-23-2005, 03:14 AM
I honestly have no idea if my team is great or crap. We'll see, I guess.

Pheesh
10-24-2005, 12:31 PM
i don't think my team is that good. I got all the players that i like and it would probably make a good team, but as far as individual talent goes...i dunno, guess we'll see.

EDIT: yep, pretty crap. What is the waiver?

Raistlin
10-24-2005, 03:59 PM
If it works the same as football, then if you drop someone on your team, that player remains a waiver for two days. In that time, anyone (except the player that dropped him) can try and pick him up, and at the end of two days, the person with the lowest waiver priority that asked for him gets him, and then automatically goes to the end of the line.

eestlinc
10-24-2005, 04:06 PM
I thought you could pcik up your own dropped player on waivers, but I've never actually tried.

Raistlin
10-24-2005, 04:07 PM
Not until they're off waivers, I believe.

what the hell's with Sacramento's gold jerseys? O_o

I haven't seen the gold jerseys because for some reason I don't get the Kings TV channel anymore. :(

I think it was good that I missed this opener, though. Yikes.

My two favorite teams - the most entertaining teams in the league - playing tonight: Dallas and Phoenix.

Go Marion and Jones!

Del Murder
11-02-2005, 06:17 AM
I'd like Dallas if it wasn't for the fact that KB's blinded loyalty and Sac-bashing annoys me. :D Wait, is he even playing this year?

Raistlin
11-02-2005, 06:23 AM
No.

And my last-round sleeper pick in Jones is working out pretty well, despite some criticism during the draft. :p

EDIT: Speaking of KB, his "blind loyalty" forced me to root for Phoenix during last year's playoffs in their matchup, despite the fact that I liked both more or less equally. :D

Blinded loyalty is what sports are all about. :D

(And I wouldn't have said this had you not forced me to by mentioning it, but wow...93-67.)

Del Murder

I think Texas should be proud that he has such influence over us. *shakes fist*

Go Kings!

Raistlin
11-03-2005, 03:25 AM
Bosh may have been my best pick of the draft. 17 points, 14 rebounds tonight.

Although Miles - taken in the 13th round - has performed adequately tonight: 32 points, 11 rebounds, 5 steals, 5 assists. :p

I'm already in bout 4 of those, and I think registration is over now.

I'm also having alot of trouble understanding how it works, it keeps telling me some of my players have games in the night, when really there game is in like 1 week, this screws me up because my ranking goes down.

Could anybody help me explain how it works?

Raistlin
04-28-2006, 03:20 AM
Unless it's football. :D

While beating eestlinc in such a close, high-scoring game was great, my favorite moment of the season had to be when I beat you by like 60 points. :p

Del Murder

Sports that start with 'b' then.

I don't feel so bad losing to a team loaded with Raiders.

Off topic: Draft projections have them getting either Leinart or Vince Young. That has me pumped!
