I need $21,500 for an original piece of artwork by Dr Seuss. However, I am also willing to settle for the sum of as low as $635 for an original artwork, or even just the low low price of $120 for a book of Seussness from the art gallery where I was at today VIEWING ORIGINAL WORKS BY SEUSS HIMSELF OH MY GOD.

Here (http://www.chaseart.com/webapp/commerce/command/ExecMacro/The_Chase_Group/macros/enterartist.d2w/report?a=1&galurl=www.vegalleries.com) is a link to some of the stuff I saw; although I'm having trouble finding a decent website and really they should have made one just for the tour, but if you get a chance to go see The Secret Art of Dr Seuss, do so! It's fantastic! And travelling all around the world. I may or may not post pictures later, depending on what they turn out like xD.

[and to make me even cooler, I'm wearing the Green Eggs and Ham shirt Joe got me for Christmas. So there!]

:hat:

My favourite Dr Seuss book is Fox in Socks. You?

ps - send money now. NOW.

Green Eggs and Ham... if you read my profile ...it's obvious why... Although, that book traumatized me in elementary school.....

I don't remember what it was called but there is a Dr. Seuss book about how much it sucks to be old. That's my favorite one.

My favorite Dr Suess book is One Fish Two Fish. But that's probably just 'cause that's the one my mommy read the most. Or Green Eggs and Ham 'cause my preschool teacher read it to us, and then we had green eggs and ham for lunch that day. :D

On Extreme Makeover Home Edition on Sunday they made a Dr Suess room and I was like "EEEEE!!" The dresser was a giant fuzzy Cat in the Hat hat. xD

I would totally send you money, but I want it. For the moment.

I also love Wacky Wednesday. And the one with the boy who feeds his fish too much food and it gets huge. :) There's also another one but I don't remember what it's called. It was the best, though.

Okie dokie. I've since calmed down a wee bit and so don't need an original Seuss to live, but then I got way too excited again because Sandy sent me pictures and I posted them in lj.

Do you think that you will pursue collecting them when you are older and have a more stable financial status?

Calliope

I'd like to have one, oneday.

Just quietly, it would be far more of an accomplishment to be able to one day produce something that brings about the same inkling of joy, much in the manner of "he who can create art need not collect it".

Oh the Places You'll Go, the Lorax, the King's Stilts, and The Butter Battle Book are all fantastic.

I almost bought you an aoutographed Seuss drawing once but it didn't have a certificate of authenticity so for all I know any snot-nosed kid could have drawn it.

The Lorax.

The Grinch is probably my favorite. The words they use to describe everything is just fantastic. The art is nothing out of the ordinary for the most part. It is the words that really made that one my favorite.

No, I take that back. My favorite is "My Book About ME" which is like a baby book for children where you do things like draw your nose and trace your foot and count how many forks are in your house.
