Does anyone here know how to make a custom windows xp login screen? I just can't seem to figure it out. I'm trying to make it be the attatched image, with as little text covering it up as possible. Can anyone help me out?

It can be tricky, but this resource should describe most everything:

The tutorial describes how to make a boot screen, not a login screen - but, I'll see if that resource hacker it links to can help me beat uilogon into submission.

There should be plenty of tutorials on the web about how to make a logon screen using ResHacker.
Like <a href="http://bfarber.com/index.php?showtopic=6904">that one</a>.

If you are into registry editing, I'm pretty sure you can set a custom BMP image by changing:
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop\Wallpaper value to the path for a BMP file.

Thanks for the help - I'd have never found that resource editor had you not posted that link, Samuraid. And that walkthrough you posted, Endless, was far more useful than anything I had found on my own.

It still needs some work (there are some parts that I want to be transparent that refuse to become so, and some text I can't quite figure out how to get rid of) but for the most part it is made. Thanks for the help!
