Dungeon Master, although not really an RPG in the "classic" sense, I loved it.

There's probably a thing... err... what? Yeah! Dammit! Scroodle! Why does anyone care about the SNES? It's about 407 years out of date! Hell, Tokugawa Ieyasu had one! All the samurai did! The Japanese are way ahead of us...

And so what? I like Tokugawa Ieyasu.

This thread is lacking in Evermore. It's one of the best RPGs I can think of, and is the most immersive experience you'll find as far as SNES RPGs go.

I also thought Dragon View was pretty cool. But calling that game an RPG is a bit of a stretch. It's more of a statistics-based platformer. Very good game.

Don't worry about it. This thread is full of non-RPGs as it is.

Well, I'm not going to repeat games everyone else said, so I'll just be adding one game to the list. Robotrek. Pretty neat game, you make your own robots that fight for you and you can make special attacks for it. Sounds quite boring, but it's not. I think I have you on MSN. Get online some time and I'll send it to you, if you want it.

I also enjoyed Lufia. Lufia II was okay but not as good as the original.

Ah, the SNES RPG... A decent list will include:

Final Fantasy IV
Final Fantasy V
Final Fantasy VI
Final Fantasy Mystic Quest
Breath of Fire
Breath of Fire II
Star Ocean
Earthbound
Secret of Mana
Secret of Evermore
Chrono Trigger
Lufia
Lufia II
Super Mario RPG

Also, I can't remember which one it is but there's a Seiken Dentetsu I played which was pretty good. It was the sequel to Secret of Mana.

Another decent game that's fun and semi-RPGish was The Twisted Tales of Spike McFang. It was a fun game.

Depends on the size of the ROM - most probably won't even when zipped. Star Ocean certainly won't fit on a single floppy, being the joint largest SNES ROM there is, with Tales of Phantasia, I believe :p

So to summarize, any RPG (and any game that has RPG elements) for the SNES is supposedly a good RPG.
