What do you think is the best Motown song ever? If you don't know, what is your favorite Motown song? Why?

So far, I think it's Marvin Gaye - "Heard It Through The Grapevine". It's a really cool song for all sorts of reasons. It's really minimal in terms of instrumentation, and Gaye's voice is really good. I like the minor feel, but how it shifts occasionally up. And the ghostly echo after the chorus is creepy. Oh yeah, and I can play it on the piano. That's always a plus.

Oh come on, there's gotta be more than two Motown fans here! I don't know about the rest of you folks, but 85 percent of the time, I'm listening to R&B/Soul music. Stuff that even my parents don't really listen to. It makes me unique. :D

My favorite motown song? Has to be Lionel Ritchie's "Easy (like Sunday Morning)" song. It's really mellow. Best when listened to near dusk, just chillin'.
