I might not be able to still appreciate them as I once did. But they are both wonderful none-the-less. Just like the dreaded Numa Numa dance. Once the annoyingness of a fad dies, they are archived in our heart :D

:lol:. Did you just get private information on me?? Im only 12. So I probably was only 2-3. When I was 8 it was the PS era. And for the record, I may have not been completely born when this fad was formed but I've seen many flashes on NG before I came here...

The AYB phenomenon started in '01, so it would've been when you were only eight.

I remember first seeing it and not getting it. Mostly because I was on dial-up and had my speakers off, so it only loaded halfway and had no accompanying sound to it, so it just looked random and dumb.

The game came out years upon years prior to the AYB thing started, which is why it got so popular, because so few people knew of the game's exsistance.

For some bizarre reason, I still find it profoundly hilarious. But then, I only became aware of it during the last two years. I particularly like all the 'real-world' ocurrences of it, like banners and fliers, and the occasional TV reference.

Incorrect, sir! That is in fact a relatively suck-y AYB parody! For one thing, the sound was lifted straight from the Planettribes movie, and it was just a few mega-man images and animations strung together in vauge time to the music. AYB Rhapsody is far suprior.

Besides, if you don't like AYB parodies, don't watch them!

This lets you download the Genesis (it says 'Megadrive') and Arcade version. You'll need the right emulators, but you can get them there too.
