I already figured out what the top three would be, although I'm not sure I agree with the order they're in.

Coldplay at #10? Dido at #59? What the living fuck? Why are they even in the damned thing at all?

And the likes of Robbie Williams, Adam and the Ants and T-Rex above Black Sabbath and the Sex Pistols? Pfft.

Yes. I didn't really read through the list, and I love Queen, but I don't think THEY'D even deserve number 1. Well, maybe. The Cure should be in the top 10.

Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac should have been higher

Fleetwood Mac is British? I love them, they're pretty good.

I'm dissapointed by the lack of Gorillaz and the inclusion of some crappy artists.

Psht. Rowan Atkinson should be #1. HE'S the best thing to have come out of Britain.

2 BEATLES

A lot of people will likely disagree on this, but I can't stand the Beatles. I also disagree with at least half the list, looking at the ones I've actually heard of.

This list is dumb. :smash:

Coldplay shouldn't even be in the top 3984092793275027353 British musical acts, let alone top 10.

Queen as number one is a big crock. Queen on any part of that list is a big crock. And putting Coldplay above Pink Floyd pretty much makes that list worthless.

Radiohead and the Floyd should be in the top ten.

I'm a fan of Coldplay, but they don't deserve to be at the top of the list. They're nowhere as near established nor talented as the others.

Oh noes, someone made a "favourite bands list" I do not agree with. I am enraged with anger.

I don't agree with this list, but that's hardly surprising since it was compiled by Virgin listeners and therefore doesn't represent the population as a whole. Of course people who listen to Virgin are going to rate Coldplay highly, and pass over Pink Floyd and The Beatles in favour of Queen. Why this should shock anyone in the slightest is beyond me.

And putting Coldplay above Pink Floyd pretty much makes that list worthless.Queen have been at #1 in the charts for longer than The Beatles. As of earlier this year, they have officially been a bigger sales success, for longer.

This has nothing to do with my opinion of the various bands, of course - just a useful statistic that might be relevant to why Queen are #1 on that list.

this thread makes me feel safer. i don't agree with all of it, or disagree with a great deal of it, and i think the top three are correct, and so i will step back and be small now
