Don't you use image ready for animations?

I have never made an animation in photoshop so I could not tell you.

Gimp is capable of animations :D Just stick one frame per layer, and include stuff like timings and frame replacement type as part of the frame's name :p

Animation Shop is a bit simpler for animations (AS is for PSP7 though) but it isn't as good as Image Ready.

That's a tutorial on using Image Ready. I hope it helps a bit. I don't have much experience with Image Ready. :(
