The Square Enix Boss Tournament is about to begin! This is in the same tournament as the original Square Enix tournament I ran, as well as the Grand Tournaments I am running in Arts & Writing.

The rules:

Everyone gets 5,000 gold to start with, plus whatever they've amassed in the collective Grand Tournaments, plus 1,000 for every character they've created in the Grand Tournament.

Bet on only one person and bet only on the match that is about to happen.

Don't whine if your favorite boss loses. There's a reason for that.

Anyways, right now, we need bosses. So, please vote on no more than 32 bosses from any Square-Enix game you would like represented. Bosses cannot include characters that later join you (like Magus) but can include event joins that you also have to fight (Like Beatrix).

So get to voting. I'll fill in any boss slots that aren't already filled. Please remember to include the game in which you are voting for.

So a standard vote might look like this:
FFI: Garland
FFIV: Golbez
FFV: X-Death
FFVI: Kefka
FFVII: Sephiroth
FFVIII: Edea
FFIX: Kuja
FFX: Seymour
Dragon Warrior I: Dracolord

etc. etc. etc.

18. FFVII Advent Children: Kadaj
19. FFVIII: Ultima Weapon
20. FFVIII: Omega Weapon
21. FFIX: (Trance) Kuja
22. FFIX: Beatrix (I agree with Necro here)

24. FFX: Penance
25. CT: Dalton
26. CT: Spekkio

29. CC: Miguel
30. CC: Dario (I will not be happy if he is not in the tournament)
31. XG: Grahf
32. VS: Romeo Guildenstern

You would think it would be easy to include everyone you want with 32 slots, but it's not.

EDIT: All non-FFVII versions of Sephiroth have been removed.

Azure Chrysanthemum

I need to make a quick addendum to this. No crossover bosses. This really only applies to Kingdom Hearts, I know, but one boss can only represent one game, i.e. the game in which they are originally from.

That also applies for Advent Children. I'm only having 1 Sephiroth in this.

You're killing me here, Void. ;)

Azure Chrysanthemum
10-06-2005, 05:25 AM
You said you had trouble fitting everyone you wanted into 32 slots. Look at it as an opportunity to give other characters who aren't silver-haired bishounen into the listings.

Masamune·1600
10-06-2005, 05:28 AM
One other thing. Can we included "multiple entity bosses?" I held off using Propogators from FFVIII and Solt, Peppor, and Ketchop from CC because I wasn't sure, but I might need to edit again if I'm allowed.

Azure Chrysanthemum
10-06-2005, 05:41 AM
I also note that the Axem Rangers were included. I am going to permit multiple entries for bosses that traditionally fight together, but only those.

Those wanting to pair up, say, Kefka and Sephiroth will have to wait until the SE Boss Doubles Tournament later on.

I reserve the right to demand detailed information on any of the characters you vote for.

Voting will close next Thursday, October 13th.

Bosses will be able to use their signature moves but they will be made to fit the setting. Sephiroth will not be blowing up planets, for example. Also, expect the bosses to use everything in their arsenal. The Axem Rangers might use their big robot thing, for example, and Grahf will probably use OR Weltall at some point.

Just a reminder, bosses count as characters that don't eventually join you, even if they are much more powerful when you fight them than when they are on your team. I will not be counting any characters that can join your party, feel free to change your votes. The only exception to that is event joins like Edea, Seifer, and Beatrix.

Also, the team rule is bosses that actually DO appear together at some point in time, and are known to be a team. Don't abuse that or I'll throw those votes out too.

Mercen-X
10-07-2005, 11:59 PM
Well Leon and Yuffie are technically on your team from beginning to end, but they never actually fight beside you. Do they still count?

Woah, woah. How do Lezard Valeth and Brahms factor into this equation? Both Lezard and Brahms join for one story event in the A-ending, and if you're following the Beatrix rule, than that should be alright, right?

Then again, after you beat the game you can get them to join for a bonus dungeon, but that shouldn't really count, eh?

I was talking more about votes like "The 8 Dragons".

And in Kingdom Hearts, I am going to disallow the SE characters that are on your team but you only fight such as Cloud, Yuffie, and Leon. They were all usable in the SE hero tournament, and will be usable in other hero tournaments to come.

You sure as hell better. You guys complain enough about me screwing it up, now its your turn to remember to do it all.

If nobody else posts by this time tomorrow I'll start the tiebreakers.

Oh yes, I am now opening many Square-Enix world lots for purchase. Write a DETAILED description of the area you want to take, and I will allow you to purchase the battlefield for 10,000 gil (small battlefield) or 20,000 gil (large battlefield). Also, I'm allowing all bettors to get one small lot for free, if they so desire. The battlefields will be randomly selected via die roll or series of die rolls, depending on the number of areas available, and whenever the battlefield is used, the owner gets 1,000 gold for the tournament "renting" the space (as well as money for repairs, but that is just assumed).

Any area that appears in any Square-Enix game (Midgar, Corneria, Aquaria,Tantangel, etc. etc.) may be used, and be sure to specify the part of that area you are making.

Remember though. DETAILED.

Rase

And would we be PM'ing you this DETAILED description, or posting it here?

Azure Chrysanthemum
10-09-2005, 07:44 AM
Eh, I don't care. One or the other, both, it's up to you. Since most of these locations are so large, you are mainly picking a specific part of that area.

A small battlefield is about the size of the length of Sister Ray, the massive gun in Junon Harbor, whereas a large battlefield is about the size of a town.

So would this work as a battlefield description (it's what I want):

The Plains in Time Compression (the small circular part at the end of the FMV, I'm not sure if Time Compression is allowed but I think it would be cool).

Description:
A circular desert/plains like arena. The area constantly shifts, changing dimensionally, somewhat to fit the people's minds. As the existence of the area is based around sorcery magic is very powerful here, however the changing dimensions of the place can easily cause massive backfires. If concentration breaks you can easily end up disappearing which is one of the main dangers here, another is falling off the edge (who knows what will happen) To go along with FFVIII though this sounds corny people with strong relationships and caring can fight better here as they have something to hold on to.

Pros for fighters:
Magic is powerful

Cons for fighters:
Magic can backfire
Edge is dangerous
Extra concentration needed

Arena:
Small
Dangerous edge
Always slightly shifting

Hope this is OK, I have a description, and then just the important stuff. I also hope you'll allow a time compression area to be allowed.

Battlefield

Name:
Viper's Aerie

Game:
Illusion of Gaia (SNES)

Location:
The Sky Garden

Description:
Suspended high above the Nazca Ruins, this portion of the Sky Garden was once the home of Viper, the giant eagle god. Since his defeat, it was briefly used as a tourist attraction, but the god, though not there, still made sure he was remembered. The long, narrow platform is subject to intense winds, and the direction they are blowing is constantly changing. Fighters must be constantly on thier guard, as a sudden gust may send them hurtling thousands of feet, or at least as far as the referees allow. Large, heavy fighters are at an advantage on this battlefield, as the winds will have a harder time affecting them. However, small and light fighters can easily get tossed about by thermals and sudden drafts if they are careless, and so must remain focused. Magic users may also encounter trouble, as the wind, due to it's divine nature, can affect spells as well, sending them flying in the opposite direction. A skilled and calculating magician, however, may be able to read the wind patterns and use them to his or her advantage. Finally, archers and rangers have a equally tough time here, the winds blowing thier missiles about.

Good for:
Heavy warriors
Focused warriors.

Bad for:
Magic users,
Lightweight warriors,
Bow users.

Lord Chainsaw

That sounds cool. I'll add one in too.

Battlefield

Name:
God's Private Studio

Game:
Trials of the Demon Tower (GB)

Location:
Paradise

Description:
The Studio is not a particularly large area, and seems a bit lonely. It is suspended high above the surface of the Earth. It is a flat, grassy plain with a few rivers and streams running through it and down into the nothingness below. From this Studio, it is rumored that God himself peers down to the World below and monitors the progress of the brave warriors climbing his obstacle course. There is not much to pass the time in the Studio, so God often sits at the lone table and plays solitaire with himself when not watching his game.

Stage Specifics:
Mostly flat, with a few trees to hide opponents, and rivers to bog progress. Falling off the edge means instant death. At the very center of the map is a health restorative altar that God uses for perpetual vitality. Because one can restore themselves completely by simply touching the orb at the altar, it is a key position to hold during the fight. One must decide the best way to keep their opponent away from the orb, whether that be by hoarding it, hiding it, or even destroying it after use. Whoever controls the orb controls the map.

Good for:
Tactic-oriented Fighters
Subtle and Sneaky Fighters
All-out Fighters (if in possession of restorative orb)

Bad for:
Action-oriented Fighters
Slow Fighters
Impatient Fighters

Battlefield -20,000

Name:
The Game Room

Game:
Star Ocean: Til the End of Time (PS2)

Location:
Earth

Description:
The game room found in a luxury hotel. This virtual battle simulator requires real abilities and can simulate any battlefield.

Stage Specifics:
Unfortunately, the game room is not perfected and it can only simulate the shape of any known battlefield. The field, though familiar, will appear in line form, making it difficult to distinguish obstacles from the rest of the room.

Pros:
Provides excellent defense and diversion for wise fighters

Cons:
A source of confusion and frustration for undisciplined fighters

Now that we have our seeding done, we're ready to begin. Arigatou akuma-chan! :)

Current Available Battlefields:
The Plains of Time Compression
Viper's Aerie
God's Private Studio
The Game Room

More battlefields may be registered at any time in the tournament. Small battlefields produce a 1,000 gil rent whenever they are used, large battlefields produce a 2,000 gil rent. Battlefields are randomly chosen.

All entrants gain 5,000 gil in addition to whatever money they have from prior tournaments. Gold and gil are interchangeable and can carry over without any penalty whatsoever. All players may make one small battlefield free of charge and register it for the tournament. Small battlefields beyond that are 10,000 gil, and large battlefields are 20,000, although the free battlefield may be used to lessen the price of a large battlefield to 10,000 for that one creation only.

Please post the total gil you have when you first begin betting for my convenience. If you choose not to do so, you will have 5,000 until you tell me how much you do have.

The next battle will be between Gilgamesh and Ultima Weapon. It will take place in the Game Room. Betting will close at 12:00 AM tomorrow.

The virtual stadium came to life as the two combatants stepped into it. Visual transmissions displayed the upcoming battle all over the world, and heroes everywhere watched with broad grins as their worst enemies prepared to do battle upon each other.

One was a massive, four-legged beast of black and purple. It was almost centaur in appearance, for in addition to its four legs it had a humanoid torso with two muscular arms, one of which clutched a massive glowing blue and white sword. It's face was demonic and black wings protruded from its back. At the front of its bottom half was an evil looking head with rows upon rows of sharp teeth and beady white eyes. It was drooling, and it licked its lips as it caught sight of its opponent.

The other combatant was a humanoid who stood at around six feet. He had eight arms, each of which clutched some sort of a bladed weapon. He wore a steel helmet, breastplate, and loinguard, and was obviously ready for battle.

A voice echoed through the area over a loudspeaker.

"The first battle is between Ultima Weapon and Gilgamesh! BEGIN!"

The virtual world sprung to life, large box-like barriers forming all over it, creating a maze.

Ultima Weapon roared and began cleaving its way through the boxes with it's sword, each box vanishing in a burst of pixels.

Gilgamesh leapt onto a box and jumped at Ultima Weapon, the glaive in one of his left hands extended.

Ultima Weapon laughed gutterally and brought its blade to bear, slashing at Gilgamesh's extended polearm.

The weapons came together with a loud clash, but the sheer size and strength of Ultima Weapon proved the victor. With a triumphant roar it hurled Gilgamesh to the ground as it completed the stroke.

Gilgamesh landed lightly on his feet, twirling his glaive back into attack position and bringing his sword forward.

Ultima Weapon laughed racously and stomped its foot on the ground.

The ground began to shake rapidly, and many of the virtual textures vanished at the disruption. Large fractures appeared in the ground, spitting electricity as the energy cables were disrupted.

Gilgamesh jumped as the ground opened beneath him and the virtual background dissipated, leaving the room dark.

Ultima Weapon howled and a pillar of light burst from the sky, slamming into Gilgamesh and blasting him into the ground. Gilgamesh screamed in pain as the electrified cables touched his body and began electrocuting him. Eventually, he went totally limp as his conciousness left his body.

hmmmm... I don't know if this is a good bet as Omega's pretty beastly especially with light pillar, but Sephiroth is so powerful (even though he was really easy), moves like Supernova and his others and his power to just levitate seems so powerful in this. 1000 on Sephiroth, I'd bet more but Omega's strong too and his predictable pattern probably won't hurt him til later rounds if you're including it. The windswept Viper's Aerie suddenly shuddered under the weight of a massive beast that dropped onto it. It resembled Ultima Weapon, but it did not hold a sword and it was instead silver and blue.

As Omega Weapon roared a challenge, a tall, slim man in a black leather coat and pants with silver shoulder plates emerged. In his hand he held a massive sword, as long as he was tall, and his silvery gray hair fell almost to the ground.

"The next battle is between Omega Weapon and Sephiroth! BEGIN!"

Omega Weapon roared and called forth a burst of dark magic.

Sephiroth jumped to the side, avoiding the attack, and leveled his blade with Omega Weapon's second head. Running forward, he leaped into the air and hurled a burst of magic into the ground with the flashing materia on his armband.

The floating platform shook and large cracks appeared in it as Sephiroth's quake magic took effect.

Omega Weapon roared and called forth a pillar of light, hurling it at Sephiroth.

Sephiroth twisted in the air, narrowly avoiding the attack. As he spun in the air, a black, feathery wing emerged from his back and he flew towards Omega Weapon, slashing at it with his blade.

Omega Weapon snapped its claw into place and locked it with Sephiroth's blade.

Sephiroth moved back, his wing somehow holding him aloft. Hovering in the air, he hurled another burst of magic at the ground.

The battlefield shattered completely as the quake magic took hold. Omega Weapon flapped its wings, but it had a much harder time keeping itself aloft than Sephiroth did.

Flying around Omega Weapon, Sephiroth gathered magical energy around himself.

"Sin Harvest!" he yelled, a burst of energy flying from his hands and enveloping Omega Weapon.

Omega Weapon howled in pain and hissed a spell, a massive ball of dark energy hurling itself towards Sephiroth.

Sephiroth dodged to the side and flew straight at Omega Weapon, unleashing a flurry of slashing blows that carved large, red wounds across its chest.

Omega Weapon shrieked in pain and unleashed a blast of powerful magic from where it stood.

Sephiroth grunted as the spell hit him and knocked him back. Flying at Omega, he dodged Omega's sweeping claw and stabbed his blade into Omega Weapon's side.

Omega howled in pain as the blade sunk into its side. Sephiroth smiled grimly and unleashed a pillar of flame that completely surrounded him, burning Omega Weapon in the process.

As Omega Weapon was still reeling, Sephiroth closed his eyes and unleashed eight balls of dark energy from his back. The balls encircled Omega Weapon before smashing into it. As that attack completed, Sephiroth slashed upward with his sword, widening the gash in Omega Weapon's flank.

Omega Weapon howled in pain and its wings ceased beating as its massive body fell to the ground far below.

The spinning, shifting magical plain of Time Compression darkened for a moment, and two massive creatures appeared.

One was a muscular beast that stood on all fours. It's tail was erect and blue energy continuously burst from it's mouth as it gazed at its foe with pale blue eyes. Its back was covered with a golden weave of spikes and gems, culminated by several blue horns upon its head.

The other was a massive green beast with two fin-like arms upon which were mounted four gems. It had no head, and its torso was a giant, beaked mouth, to which two large leg-like appendages were attached.

"The next fight is between Atma Weapon and Emerald Weapon! BEGIN!"

Almost before the words had left the announcer's mouth, Emerald Weapon unleashed a beam of energy from one of its gems.

Atma Weapon leapt nimbly aside, its eyes sparkling with energy.

"Flare!" it howled, energy gathering around its tensed muscles.

The plains began wavering wildly as Atma drew forth its power, but it kept it tightly under control

Again, Emerald Weapon unleashed a beam of light, but Atma leapt high into the air, avoiding the attack. Balls of red energy burst from Atma Weapon's mouth, hurling themselves at Emerald Weapon.

Emerald Weapon drew back, but its form, so well-built for underwater combat, was utterly unmaneuverable above ground. It took a clumsy step back before the spell struck it, the balls entering it's body.

Emerald Weapon hissed as its body began to expand, and the area where the balls had entered suddenly exploded with energy as the balls flew out and dissipated into the planes.

Emerald slumped, its body oozing black blood from several badly burned openings. All four gems on its body blazed with light, and it unleashed a stream of light in multiple directions, wildly firing the beams in an attempt to strike Atma Weapon.

Atma Weapon dodged as best as it could, but was struck in the flank by one, sending it tumbling towards the edge of the platform.

Planting its tail and hind legs into the ground, it propelled itself into the air, bouncing back towards Emerald Weapon.

Emerald Weapons gems continued sparkling as it prepared to unleash all four beams at Atma Weapon. Atma Weapon seemed to smile, before spitting a burst of energy at the ground.

"QUAKE!" it roared.

The very plains themselves began to morph and change as literal tears in the fabric of the reality appeared. Emerald Weapon was thrown to the ground, four beams of energy bursting from the gems and centering on one part of the top of the plains, causing a massive opening to appear.

Atma Weapon landed nimbly on its feet as the plains continued shifting out of control. "FLARE!" it roared once again as more balls of red energy burst from its mouth, again entering Emerald Weapon.

Emerald Weapon's body seemed to expand for a moment, before it exploded from the pent-up power of Atma Weapon's attacks, chunks of green flesh hurling themselves out of the battlefield and into the plains themselves.

Atma Weapon roared in triumph as numerous bits of Emerald Weapon began falling onto the now-stabilizing battlefield, a grotesque, fleshy mockery of rainfall.

The flowing streams and well-trimmed trees of God's Private Studio were suddenly disturbed as two combatants stepped onto the field.

One was a strange creature with feathery wings and a black face obscured by a straw hat. It wore blue robes and brown shoes, and its eyes glowed menacingly.

The other was a tall man dressed in a black full plate mail. He wore a flowing black cloak, the inside lining of which was blue, and his helmet and shoulder guards were spiked. In his hands he carried a large black broadsword, but the ease at which he moved showed that the armor and blade were not terribly encumbring.

"The next battle is between Black Waltz number Three and Golbez! BEGIN!"

Black Waltz's wings extended and it took to the air as Golbez began running, both combatants rushing towards the orb in the center of the field that would grant them healing magic.

It's flight much faster than Golbez's, Black Waltz drew dangerously close to the orb, lightning crackling in its hands as it prepared to blast Golbez away from the orb. At the same time, Golbez leveled his blade with the Black Waltz's chest and began chanting a spell.

"Thundaga!" Black Waltz screeched, lightning spiraling around him and hurtling itself at Golbez.

"Reflect!" Golbez yelled, bringing his sword forward as his armor began glowing with an eerie light.

The lightning seemed to wrap itself around Golbez's form for a moment, before it rebounded back at the Black Waltz, electrocuting it and knocking it from the sky.

As the Black Waltz staggered to its feet, Golbez placed his mailed left hand on the orb, holding his sword easily in the other. Immediately, energy began flowing through his body, invigorating him. Laughing evilly, Golbez raised his sword into the air.

"Firaga!" he yelled, an explosive burst of flame emerging from his sword and hurling itself at Black Waltz.

The Black Waltz thrust itself into the air, only managing to partially dodge the spell. Hissing with rage and pain, it began forming fire in its hands, preparing to return Golbez's attack.

Golbez stood, laughing as the fireball bounced off of his glowing armor and hurled itself right back at the Black Waltz, knocking it out of the sky.

It lay, breathing heavily, as Golbez slowly and deliberately walked towards it. It began flapping its wings to escape, but Golbez's sword shot out, pinning the wing to the ground.

"You lose," he said, dragging the blade through the wing and tearing the muscles. The Black Waltz howled in pain as Golbez raised his sword, before bringing it down and ending the construct's "life".

God's Private Studio rumbled as the massive Ruby Weapon stepped onto the platform. It had elongated, clawed red arms, and its body was tall and thin, with a fierce, bulbous head and a long neck. It's torso had a red eye in the center that glowed brightly, and its boot-like feet shook the ground as it walked.

The other was a man dressed in a frilly, colorful outfit. His face was painted white and his eyes were devoid of all sanity and human kindness.

"The next battle is between Kefka and Ruby Weapon! BEGIN!"

Ruby Weapon immediately began moving forward, towards the orb in the center. Kefka laughed maniacally as six wings burst from his back, tearing away his shirt.

With a malicious glint in his eyes, he burst forward, magic crackling in his hands.

"Firaga!" he howled, a massive burst of flame washing over Ruby Weapon.

As Ruby Weapon staggered backwards, Kefka settled before the orb, placing his hand on it.

"This feels great!" he cackled maniacally as Ruby Weapon growled, calling down a comet on him.

"I've never felt so... ALIVE!" he howled, raising his hand.

As the comet descended upon him he caught it, stopping it from hitting him.

"Blizzaga!" he cackled.

Magic shot through his hand and into the comet, causing it to freeze entirely.

"Pathetic," Kefka spat. "Thundaga!"

Bolts of lightning burst through the meteor, destroying it utterly.

Ruby howled and the eye in its torso glowed. A beam of red energy burst forth, hurling itself at Kefka.

Kefka merely stood there, laughing, as the bolt shot through his chest, opening a large, gaping hole in the middle.

Kefka continued laughing insanely as the orb's magic healed his body entirely.

"My turn!" he snarled. "METEOR!"

A massive hail of meteors assailed Ruby Weapon, pushing it back. As it howled in pain, Kefka's grin became more and more bloodthirsty by the moment.

"Goner!" he yelled, unleashing a blast of magic that toppled Ruby Weapon.

As Ruby Weapon struggled to get up, Kefka placed both hands on the orb, magic crackling around his body.

"ULTIMA!" he shrieked, a torrent of magical energy errupting outward from him in the form of a massive blue wave of destruction.

The ground around the orb disintegrated as the magical power laid waste to everything in sight. Ruby Weapon tried to withstand the blast, but the combined power of Kefka's magic and the orb was simply too much. The giant beast roared in pain before disintegrating along with the battlefield, leaving only a cackling Kefka and the orb behind.

I need more information on the battlefields before I'll allow them. Remember, details details DETAILS.

The game room flickered before sparking to life, shifting blocks, triangles, and spheres appearing all over it.

On the far right side of the room a pale man clutching a sword and shield tightly in either hand stepped forward. His movements were jerky, almost involuntary, and his body spasmed sporadically.

On the far left, three figures emerged. One was a green-skinned fat humanoid in white robes that hovered above the ground a short ways. Another was a pale, pretty woman with red hair tied in a pony tail, and the third was a thin blue humanoid with a sword in his hand.

"The next battle is between Zalbag and Team Ozzie! BEGIN!"

"Allow me to take the first turn," the blue humanoid said.

"Go get him, Slash!" the woman yelled after him, blowing him a kiss.

Slash dashed across the room, vaulting onto a box and leaping at Zalbag, his sword descending.

Zalbag's shield shot up mechanically, blocking the attack. Without a change in expression, he thrust his own sword in, impaling Slash and sending him flying backwards.

Slash landed on a sphere, crushing the virtual construct under the force of his fall and weight.

"Allow me to fight next," Flea said, dashing forward and hurling fire at Zalbag.

Zalbag mechanically yet somehow strangely fluidly dodged aside, before dashing forward and slashing at Flea.

Flea screeched and dodged back as the blade opened a massive gash on her chest, slashing aside the shirt and revealing that it wasn't exactly a "she" after all.

Flea leaped away as Ozzie finally stepped forward.

"Flea, Slash, attack him while I hold his attention."

Flea and Slash moved to encircle Zalbag as he charged Ozzie down.

Ozzie laughed and a barrier of ice formed around him. Zalbag's sword hit it, but rebounded with a loud clang as Slash came in behind him, stabbing him in the back.

Zalbag turned to face Slash, ignoring the wound, but Slash jumped back and Flea unleashed a burst of fire, engulfing Zalbag.

As the flames cleared, Zalbag stood, his body badly battered but his blade still in hand.

"Let's finish this!" Ozzie yelled.

"Delta Storm!"

A torrent of flame, ice and lightning was unleashed as the three monsters combined their magical energy.

Within the storm of magical energy, Zalbag's body disintegrated. It may have been a trick of the flickering spells, but a smile seemed to briefly grace his features.

Screenshots may enhance, but I want descriptive schematics of the layout and the boundaries of the area being used. It makes writing battles on them easier for me.

High above the ground on a floating battlefield, the next two combatants prepared for battle.

One was a cocky looking man with a red headband and a heavily scarred body. He was shirtless, and wore an orange sash and black shorts. In his hands he carried long, large-bladed sword with a black blade with fiery patterns and a bound, T-shaped hilt.

The other combatant was an extremely beautiful and effeminate man with silver hair and sparse purple clothing. He had broad shoulder guards on, and rode attop a silver dragon, circling the battlefield and riding the wind gusts with great grace and skill.

"The next battle is between Kuja and Jecht! BEGIN!"

"Come on and fight me, girly man!" Jecht said, hefting his sword and bringing it into a battle-ready position, albeit slowly.

Annoyance flickered across Kuja's features as he extended his hand, the other gripping the dragon's reins.

A ball of fire appeared in his hand, which grew larger and larger.

"Firaga!" he hissed, hurling it at Jecht.

Jecht grunted and raised his sword as the fireball exploded, pushing him back and towards the edge.

At the last moment Jecht pushed off with his right foot, sticking his blade into the ground and vaulting into the air.

Landing in front of his blade, he withdrew it with one hand and brought the ponderous blade to bear, swinging it around and hefting it over his head.

"Is that the best you can do!? Maybe it'd be easier if your stones weren't so high or so soft! Maybe then you might actually fight like a man!"

Kuja tossed his hair, a miffed expression on his face.

"Bold words from a worm who has no chance of winning," he said, his voice imperious and slightly annoyed.

Raising his hand, Kuja called forth a burst of magical energy into his palm and hurled it at the ground.

"QUAKE!" he roared, the ground cracking and groaning under his spell, its magic disrupted.

Jecht's eyes narrowed.

"Another attack like that and I fall like a stone," he growled.

"Precisely. That hideous face of yours will trouble us no more," Kuja replied with a sneer.

"I suppose I had better end this quick then," Jecht said, stabbing his sword into the wounded ground.

Kneeling, Jecht screamed out in pain as his body began to ripple, as if something were moving beneath his flesh.

Blood splattered everywhere as Jecht's body began to expand and change, his hair turning white and his flesh turning purple. His body expanded outward and his muscles bulged as his hands became claws and massive scales appeared along his arms and back.

Now fully transformed, Jecht grasped the sword and swung it at Kuja, his lumbering feet moving forward to increase the range of the attack.

Kuja's dragon shot into the air but the wind gusts prevented it from properly evading. Jumping from the saddle, Kuja began floating in the air above Jecht as his mount's wing was completely severed.

Shrieking in terror, the dragon began to fall, its screams not stopping until it reached the ground below.

Kuja's eyes flickered with annoyance.

"It is not kind of you to slay my mount," he said. "I believe I will have to kill you slowly and painfully for that."

Kuja drifted high above Jecht and began to rain powerful spells down upon him. Bursts of fire, ice and lightning, comets, a torrent of magic descended from the skies on the hulking beast that Jecht had become.

Jecht shielded his head with his sword, but the spells still managed to penetrate his guard. When the dust cleared he was breathing heavily, his fetid breath leaving a hot trail of steam to dissipate into the wind.

Opening his mouth, Jecht unleashed a beam of intense energy which lanced through the sky and struck Kuja in the chest.

Kuja screamed in pain as the beam lanced through him, his shoulders slumping and his body faltering in the sky.

Jecht roared in exultion, but this was short lived.

"FLARE!"

A powerful burst of flame exploded on Jecht, sending him staggering backwards.

Kuja's shoulders straightened as he stood and turned to face the weakened beast, his hair now flaming red and whirling wildly in the wind.

"I... will... kill... you..." he spat, blood trickling down from his mouth and dripping from his chin.

Jecht reared up and fired another beam at Kuja, but this time he extended his hand out and caught the beam with a magical barrier, before deflecting it off to the side.

"DIE!" Kuja shouted, a storm of magical energy forming around him.

"ULTIMA!"

The cyclone of magical power grew larger and larger with Kuja at its eye, expanding outward and disintegrating the platform entirely.

Jecht howled in pain as the spell burned away his flesh and dispersed it to the winds, before finally utterly obliterating his physical form. As the spell expanded outward, a swarm of pyreflies could be seen escaping from the magical blast.

As suddenly as it had come, the magic ended, and Kuja fell to the ground, barely managing to slow his fall enough to land without too much harm in the sands below, his hair silvery once more.

The swirling magical vortex of the magical plains surrounded the combatants as they prepared for battle.

One was a rather cocky, blond man holding a long and elegant-looking gunblade. He had a scar across his face and he wore a white trenchcoat with black gloves and black underclothes.

The other was a group of five strange creatures. They were different colors, one pink, one yellow, one black, one green, and one red. They all held axes of the same color, and appeared as malformed humans, with bulbous bodies and circles for mouths.

"The next battle is between Seifer and the Axem Rangers! BEGIN!"

Seifer raised his gunblade and charged at the nearest Axem Ranger, firing several shots at it.

The Axem Rangers all scattered, jumping aside and to different areas.

Seifer started cursing under his breath.

"Stand still, damn you!" he yelled, firing furiously at random Axem Rangers but not hitting anything.

The Axem Rangers all laughed in unison. Axem Black hurled several bombs at Seifer, forcing him to dodge to the side as they exploded where he was just standing.

He had barely gotten back on his feet when he was forced to once again jump away as a bolt of lighting called down by Axem Green almost struck him.

Now a bit hard pressed, Seifer brought his gunblade up just in time to block an attack from Axem Yellow. Angling his gunblade at Axem Yellow as their weapons were locked, he clenched the trigger, firing several bullets at Axem Yellow.

Axem Yellow grunted and was knocked back, a large crack appearing on his torso.

"What the hell are you guys!?" Seifer asked breathlessly as he started shooting at Axem Red.

Axem Red dodged to the side and shrugged as Axem Pink healed Axem Yellow.

"Stay down damn you!" Seifer yelled vehemently, shooting at Axem Pink, who floated away, laughing.

Seifer's anger was enough to cause him to almost be hit by another barrage of bombs from Axem Black. Jumping aside, he fired several shots at it, only to scream in pain as he was hit in the back with lightning.

Quickly, the Axem Rangers descended upon him and began slashing at him with their axes which weren't very sharp and had the consistency of condensced plastic.

Eventually they stopped as Seifer lay limply on the ground, his body battered.

"Beaten by a bunch of damned toys," he muttered to himself before falling unconcious.

The falling platform of Viper's Aerie was suddenly inhabited.

The first combatant was a young man with sandy blond hair dressed in full plate mail and carrying a broadsword in both hands. His stance was calm and competant, and his face was a mask of resolve.

The other was a massive, varicolored floating orb. It hovered in place, awaiting all attacks.

"The next battle is between Dario and Ozma! BEGIN!"

Dario leveled his blade at Ozma and charged, leaping into the air and thrusting at the orb's center.

Ozma glowed for a moment, and a massive blast of holy energy burst forth from it, knocking Dario backwards.

Dario groaned and got to his feet as a burst of flames shot at him. He brought his sword up and clove the flames, but not without some effort. Breathing hard as he tried to recover from the attack, he charged Ozma again, only to be hurled aside by a massive burst of red fire and earth.

Dario screamed in pain as he was blasted to the edge of the Aerie, but caught his grip on the edge just in time. Hurling his sword back up, he grasped the ledge with both hands and dragged himself up, just in time to be caught in a storm of meteors that crushed him and broke the part of the landscape he was standing on, sending him and his blade hurtling towards the ground below.

Cloudleonhart, read the descriptions of the other battlefields. That's what I require, minimum, for a battlefield submission.

The whirling images of the game room came into view as a large pink and yellow blob of congealed fat with a massive jaw and a pretty young woman with a white overcoat, white eyepatch, long brown hair, and a sword stepped (or floated, in the case of the blob) into the room.

"The next battle is between Chupon and Beatrix! BEGIN!"

Beatrix sized Chupon up for a moment, her sword held at the ready.

Chupon sneezed.

A massive blob of mucus flew from it's mouth and slammed into Beatrix, knocking her into the wall of the game room.

Beatrix grunted as she pried herself from the wall, looking with utter disgust at her now snot-drenched clothes.

"Oh you are going to die now you freakish blob," she hissed as Chupon sneezed again.

This time she dodged out of the way, magical energy dancing in her left hand and her sword equally crackling with energy.

"HOLY!" she yelled, hurling a burst of powerful white magic at Chupon.

Chupon roared in pain as the blast hit it, knocking it backwards. It sneezed again, seemingly involuntarily, but Beatrix would have none of that.

"Climhazzard!" she yelled, rushing forward and slashing through the mucus, as well as cutting a large gash into Chupon's belly.

Whirling around, Beatrix leapt into the air and reversed her sword.

"Shock!" she yelled, electricity enveloping her blade as she came down hard on Chupon, driving her sword into it.

Chupon seemed to expand for a moment, before it blew up, spraying her with all kinds of interesting (see: disgusting) bodily fluids.

"Ew..." Beatrix said as she slowly walked off the battlefield in search of a bath.

Aight, Ill take a crack at a battle field.

Arena: Hades pits

Description: The fight is held above a large pit of black flames on top of twenty five stone pillars that are in the shape of a square, five pillars by five pillars. Each pillar has a diamater of ten feet, and the pillars are placed thirty feet apart. Also, there are countless chains dangling from the roof, and approximately twenty percent of the chains will fall if some one tries to swing from one chain to the next. The Chains that will fall will change each time the arena is used. In addition, the pillars are perfectly smooth on the side, making it impossible to climb naturallym however magic may still be used to climb it. Since the black flames are not normal fire, it penatrates all fire resistence abilities, magical or not. So even if a Flame elemental fell into the fires, it would still suffer a painful and certain death.

Size: 170 X 170 Feet. Small i believe.

All battlefields approved except for the Tower of Terror. The free battlefield can only be small, those wishing to use the initial free battlefield option and make it large must pay an extra 10,000, which you do not have.

The swirling pixilated images of the game room came into view as the next combatants prepared for battle.

The first was a massive, porcupine like creature. It shuffled forward and its face opened into a strange eye-like device.

The other was a rather sinister looking man with blue hair that defied all gravity. One large spike protruded from the front and fell to his nose, while the other two stuck out a ways on either side and fell to the bottom of his hands. He carried an ornate staff with a red symbol on the top of it, and he wore blue and red robes with a green ribbon-like cloth around his waist.

"The next fight is between Lavos and Seymour! BEGIN!"

Lavos opened its eyes and began firing spikes from all over its body.

"Come, ANIMA!" Seymour yelled, raising his hand as the spikes began falling towards him.

A massive inky black portal appeared in front of Seymour and a massive, horridly disfigured beast emerged. It was surrounded by a huge cloak-like blue matter that almost resembled a mouth. It's head was bandaged and it had a mouth lined with fangs. Two arms were crossed across its chest and it didn't emerge from the ground further than the waist.

Anima looked up at the oncoming spikes and growled, black energy bursting forth and knocking them from the air.

Lavos fired several more shots, this time directly targetting Anima. Most of the spikes impaled Anima, but it remained standing. Hissing in rage, it roared and a black, inky gate opened beneath Lavos.

Lavos shrieked as it was dragged under. There was the sound of a roar beneath anima and a burst of energy, but Lavos was soon thrown into the air by a massive blast of dark energy. The massive beast flew through the air and smashed into the ceiling where it stuck for a moment, its shell cracking.

Anima roared and unleashed a burst of dark magic, causing Lavos's outer shell to explode, revealing a large machine-like beast with two giant arms.

The arms moved forward and began grappling with Anima's own arms.

As the two beasts fought, Seymour walked forward and raised his hand. A burst of powerful flame emerged from his hand, exploding onto the machine. Soon after several more blasts hit it, causing it to draw back and giving Anima the chance to unleash another burst of dark energy upon it.

The beast began to disintegrate, and a vageuly humanoid being appeared. It released two smaller machines and began advancing upon Seymour and Anima.

Seymour raised his hand and began chanting a spell, a movement Anima mimiced by extending its own hands outward. A ball of black energy with a green core appeared before both of their hands.

"ULTIMA!" Seymour yelled as he and Anima released their spell, which grew larger and engulfed the enemies, leaving only the right bit behind.

"A stubborn one I see," Seymour said, gathering magic in his hands.

The bit hovered helplessly as Seymour unleashed a barrage of ice magic upon it while Anima unleashed a dark energy attack. It tried helplessly to revive the other parts, but Seymour and Anima merely countered with a double Ultima until the bit was utterly destroyed.

Ack! I really really hate doing this so many times in a row but I was out really late tonight and I'm just too braindead to make an update. A thousand apologies, and hopefully I'll be able to do one tomorrow at some point.

In the meantime make more battlefields.

5,000 on Weigraf. Ultros was just annoying.

*Takes cover from thrown vegetables behind a table.*

Take 10,000 from my account if this one is passed, my first battlefield+large.

Farplane Glen
A a series of large, flower covered platforms, with three main platforms being about 100-150 feet by 80-120 feet. after these, the platforms decrease by about 10-40 feet each, so next is 60 feet by 60 feet, then 30 by 50 feet, then 20 by 10 feet. The last 3 aren't big enough for more than one human sized person, but can be used to evade attacks or provide a landing for one person, if both bosses come on one platform, at least one boss will fall. The platforms are close enough together to jump from one to another, in an upward spiral turning left. The background is an endless waterfall flowing into the endless depths below. If a boss falls, they will either die from the impact or get lost in the Farplane. On the Farplane, there are the souls of the departed, who can take form and may attempt to fight a boss if they had a reason to before they died. The platforms are floating and the bottoms are rocky and come to a point. It is possible to climb up these. If thrown into the waterfall, they will be pushed by the water into the ground.

Your battlefield has been added, Cloudleonhart.

A massive octopus and a man in a white cloak with a red scarf, green shirt, and white pants carrying a rather menacing-looking longsword stood amidst two of twenty five stone pillars. Below them was a pit of black flame, and chains dangled from the roof, some of which looked particularily unsteady.

"The next battle is between Ultros and Weigraf. BEGIN!"

Ultros cackled wildly, his tentacles lashing about. Weigraf looked at him sternly for a moment, before grabbing onto a chain. Tugging on it to test it and finding it to be satisfactorily attached, he swung across to the next pillar.

Gaining his balance on the next pillar, Wiegraf extended his sword, concentrating for a moment.

"Hey... what are you doing?" Ultros asked. "Come here! I won't bite! Bwahahahaha!"

Wiegraf ignored him and thrust his blade at Ultros.

"LIGHTNING STAB!"

The blade extended and crackled with lightning, impaling Ultros's soft, fleshy purple body with ease.

"Ow!" Ultros screamed. "That wasn't nice!"

Ultros's tentacles lashed out, somehow extending and hurling themselves at Wiegraf.

Wiegraf calmly brought his blade forward and slashes several times, and within moments, several of Ultros's tentacles were falling into the dark inferno below.

"That does it!" Ultros yelled.

"I am out of here!"

Ultros's body suddenly seemed to dive into the pillar itself and dissappear.

Wiegraf's eyes narrowed. Raising his sword, it crackled with energy as he brought it down with all his might.

"HOLY EXPLOSION!"

The pillar that Ultros had dove into exploded beneath a pillar of light.

Now somewhat satisfied, Wiegraf sheathed his blade and vanished from the battlefield.

Quick note, Zemus will take the form of Zeromus if it is deemed necessary.

A tall wizard with pale blue flesh and ornate robes of black and blue. The other was a gaudily dressed man in a flowing orange cape, rich blue tunic, and eyepatch. He had flowing blond hair and an arrogant expression on his face.

"The next battle is between Dalton and Zemus! BEGIN!"

Dalton began cackling wildly.

"You are no match for me you malodorous blue cretin! COME GOLEM!"

Raising his arms, he summoned forth a strange creature with a large fanged mouth, spindley arms, and spikes all over his body from a black gate.

"ATTACK!"

The golem hunched over and created several fireballs, hurling them at Zemus.

Zemus merely stood there as the fireballs exploded on him, leaving no scratch.

"Oh, a tough guy eh? Come, Golem Twins!"

Two more golems emerged from the same black gates as the first one had.

"ATTACK!"

All three golems hunched down and this time, three steel balls dropped from the sky, only to become crushed when they impacted Zemus's flesh and fall uselessly aside.

"Very well!" Dalton said, his face growing red with anger. "I shall unleash the greatest of my golems upon you! GO GOLEM BOSS!"

A much larger black portal opened and this time a pinkish golem stepped out.

"GO MY GOLEMS! ATTACK!" Dalton said, throwing his hand out and striking a pose as his cloak flapped in the breeze.

"Meteo," Zemus said calmly a shower of meteors fell from the sky, blasting the entire platform that Dalton and his golems were on into nothingness.

As the dust cleared, there was nothing left. Drawing his cloak about him, Zemus vanished.

Name:
Crystal Shrine

Game:
Final Fantasy IV

Location:
Summit of Mount Ordeals

Description:
Situated on the submit of Mount Ordeal, the sacred Crystal Shrine is a small rectangular room, about 30 feet wide, 45 feet long, and about 40 feet high. It gets its name from the walls, which were magically created from clear, mirror-like crystal, which shimmer with a pale blue aura. There is only one exit, to the south, down a small staircase.

Stage Specifics:
The ground of the Crystal Shrine is completely flat, and there are two rows of crystal columns supporting the arched ceiling, offering opponents a place to hide or protect themselves. The door magically seals itself shut once the fight begins. Aside from the crystal's shimmering, there is no other light source in the shrine, thus making the room pretty dark aside from the areas near the walls and pillars. Since it is considered a holy place, holy-based magic has an advantage here, and darkness-based magic and the undead have a serious disadvantage.

Good for:
Tactic-oriented fighters
Subtle and/or sneaky fighters
Magic users (especially if they use Holy-based spells)

Bad for:
Action-oriented fighters
Undead fighters
Darkness-based spell casters.

Game:
Final Fantasy VI

Location:
Rooftop of the Fanatics Tower

Description:
The Fanatic's Tower sits in the center of a rough circle of mountains, and is only accessable from the air. The outer staircase that winds up the side seems to go on forever, finally ending at a relatively small flat rooftop with a closet-sized room in the middle. The edges of the roof around the center room only extend to about a 15 feet radius making it difficult for larger combatants to stay atop. The top of the middle room is also flat and extends rectangularly to about 20 x 30 feet. Both the top of the middle room and the edge of the main roof platform have no safety borders making it especially precarious for combat. The roof and room are made of an indestructable material.

Stage Specifics:
The Fanatic's Tower is surrounded by a debilitating aura that prevents those on or around from being able to do any physical harm to their opponent. The rooftop is incredibly high above the ground making any fall most definitely fatal. When the match begins the staircase magically sinks into the tower stranding the combatants atop until the match is finished.

Good for:
Small, nimble combatants
Magic users
Flying combatants

Bad for:
Large, unstable combatants
Non-magic users

The two contestants were warped into the Viper’s Aerie, one at either end of the narrow platform. One was man covered in dark blue armour, large horns extending from his helmet. He held a sword in his hand and his eyes were focused on his opponent, a young teenager with grey hair that just went to his shoulders. He wore a yellow, sleeveless shirt and baggy, blue pants which were suspended on. In his hand was a red and blue blade which looked much like a wing of sorts.

“The next match will be between Garland and Riku! Begin!”

The two contestants stared at each other for a moment then simultaneously rushed forward along the platform. The strong wind blew the hair from Riku’s face and he found himself trying to run in a strait line. Garland was having less trouble, his large body fighting the wind much better. When the two fighters met the both swung their swords, the two blades clanged together and Riku was forced to draw back a bit due to the power behind his opponents blow. He started to step backwards but it was at that moment that the unpredictable winds of the Viper’s Aerie decided to change. The force of the wind was now behind Garland and Riku was thrown backwards along the platform, skidding 3 metres on his backside. Garland started rushing forward, much faster with the winds help and was upon Riku before the boy could recover. Garland swung his sword in an arc and when the gales caught it on the 90 degree angle it started heading downward at a very powerful speed. Riku managed to roll to one side and the sword only clanged onto the floor, adding another mark on the platform.

Riku mustered up some strength and rocked back onto his shoulders. Then he launched his feet strait at Garland, but was once again foiled by the wind. It took most of his leap’s force away and he ended up staring strait into Garland’s smirking face. But Riku only had a moment to stare until Garland brought his fist into Riku’s nose, causing Riku to, once again, stumble backwards, blood dripping from his nostrils. Garland started to advance but stopped when he saw what was happening. A dark purple light was emanating from Riku and was becoming more and more visible. Suddenly, the light flashed and when it had dimmed Riku was standing in a completely new outfit with a black and purple keyblade in his free hand. There was a costume of the same colour on him now and it looked like it was made from tendrils of darkness. It crept all the way from Riku’s neck to his feet.

Garland scowled but continued to walk forward. Riku didn’t wait until garland was in range to attack though. He drew back his keyblade and with a new found power threw it strait into the wind. Garland barely had time to view the spinning blur before it was upon him, but luckily it missed him by what would have been no more than an inch. He blinked himself back into reality and then continued his advance, the smirk back on his face. But he had taken no more that 4 steps before the keyblade, pushed back like a boomerang from the force of the wind, hit him strait in the back and passed through his body, spinning his blood all over the arena. Riku snatched the keyblade out of the air and walked over to the end of the platform, his clothes changing as hid did.

The mages, caught by surprise rushed out and began trying to undo the teenagers handiwork.

Yeah, this seeding is rather bad for Rufus. That's the way it goes, this is a boss tournament and voting for a human with a shotgun is asking for him to lose.

High attop the Fanatic's Tower two figures stood staring each other down.

One was a rather young man in an immaculate white jacket and pants. He had short blond hair and he held a shotgun that shone with varicolored stones that were fitted down the barrel.

The other was a large, blue humanoid with a stern, impassive face and folded arms. He had two wing-like appendages growing out of his bottom half, and a large circle above his head.

"The next battle is between Rufus and Necron! BEGIN!"

Rufus immediately jumped to the side and began firing his gun at Necron, one gem lighting up and causing fireballs to burst from the end of it.

Necron stood calmly as the fireballs hit him, waiting as Rufus continued to circle and attack him with ice and lightning magic. Growling, Rufus raised his arm, revealing a glove with sparkling red materia in it. A burst of red light emerged from his hand and began forming into the shape of a lone warrior on horseback bearing a long scimitar.

"Go Odin!" he yelled as the horse bore down upon Necron.

Necron turned to face the charging summon.

"Shockwave," he said in a voice that seemed to be everywhere and nowhere all at once.

A burst of energy slammed into Odin as it charged. Necron raised his hand and unleashed a burst of intense flame that incinerated Odin, causing it to dissolve.

"Damn!" Rufus yelled as another of his red materia started glowing.

"I grow tired of this, human," Necron said, bored. "Flare."

A burst of flame exploded on Rufus, blasting him backwards and throwing him off of the roof, where he began plummeting towards the ground.

Two figures stepped onto God's Private Studio, taking up position on the opposite sides of the room.

One was a cocky young man with red hair tied in a ponytail and a metal rod in his left hand. He wore a nice suit, although it seemed extremely out of place on him.

The other was a cloaked figure dressed in a mask and strange brown armor. He stood perfectly still with his arms crossed, and stared down his foe.

"The next battle is between Grahf and Reno! BEGIN!"

Reno raised his rod and charged forward, moving towards the orb.

Grahf stood stock-still, not moving an inch.

Finally, Reno reached the orb and placed his hand on it. Extending his rod, a green gem sparkled as it shot a burst of electricity out at Grahf.

Grahf seemed to blur, and in the next instant he was standing in another space just to the left of where he originally was. He hadn't changed posture in the slightest, and it was almost as if he hadn't moved at all.

Reno fired several more bolts of lightning, but again and again Grahf dodged out of the way, making no overt movements but avoiding all of them easily.

Finally, Reno grew irritated.

"THUNDAGA!" he yelled, unleashing a torrent of lightning at Grahf.

Grahf raised his arm as the lightning slammed into him. He stood stock still for a moment, before his body blurred.

In the next instant, Grahf's fist collided with Reno's face. Reno was blasted backwards, sliding along the ground like a rag doll.

Grahf extended both arms, energy gathering within them. Moving in a blur, he surged forward and leapt into the air, raining the energy down upon Reno before flipping backwards and moving back to the orb, placing his hand upon it.

Reno lay upon the ground groaning in pain, his tongue lolling comically out of his mouth.

Could I get a bit more on where the pillars lead, Mercen? I'm too lazy to turn on KH and go through that part again.

And it was upon finishing this that I realized I used the crystal room. So 1,000 rent for Takara :)

The many facets of the crystal shone brightly as the sound of boots echoed through the room. The footsteps were accompanied by the massive steps of a huge beast as Sephiroth and Ultima Weapon faced off against each other.

"BEGIN!"

Ultima roared and black magic fell around Sephiroth. However, Sephiroth merely laughed and shrugged the attack off. Drawing his sword, he shot foward, slicing a deep gash into Ultima's left leg.

Ultima Weapon roared, this time in pain as bluish blood splurted from its leg. Raising its sword it swept it alongside the ground, but Sephiroth was already running up the side of its back and dragging his blade through its flesh, cleanly cutting into it.

Ultima weapon roared and magic began gathering around its body.

Sephiroth leaped into the air, a lone black wing emerging from his back. As he flew backwards, Ultima Weapon unleashed a dome of chaotic magic that extended outward from where it stood.

As the magic extended outward, Sephiroth brought his hand to one of the crystals. Materia glowing, he caused a massive crack to appear in the crystal, which he entered, drawing in his wing. The Ultima spell slammed into the crystal, but it protected Sephiroth from all harm and the spell dissipated as it stretched to its outer limits.

Ultima began growling as it looked around to see where it's opponent was. A flash of light issued from the wall and the crystal around Sephiroth shattered.

Almost as the crystal burst open, Sephiroth flew forward, his wing once again visible.

Grasping his blade in both hands, he drove it into Ultima's chest, hurling it backwards.

Ultima roared and unleashed a massive fire attack, centered on it.

At such close quarters, even Sephiroth had no hope of dodging. Drawing back as best he could, he brought his blade forward to protect himself, his materia glowing faintly.

The fires blew past him, surrounding him and inflicting heavy damage.

Now breathing heavily, Sephiroth raised his sword.

"Sin Harvest!" he yelled, a massive burst of energy exploding on Ultima.

As Ultima reeled from the power of the sudden attack, Sephiroth flew forward, his blade flashing.

Staring from the base of Ultima's lower torso, Sephiroth dragged his sword upwards, pushing forward as he did so. Within mere instants, his sword was free and Sephiroth was now above and beyond Ultima Weapon, who's upper body began to slide neatly off of its lower body in a spray of blue blood.

If Ultima Shadow bets on anything over Ultima Weapon, especially that kind of large amount it gets my bet too.Heh, I knew that Sephiroth were going to win anyways. Betting on Ultima Weapon would just have been a waste of money, even though I still belive he should have won. :D

Anyways... the coming battles seems to be a lot more even and I still can't decide whenever I should bet on Golbez or Atma Weapon. I'll give this battle a little more thinking before I bet...

The game room flashed into motion as Golbez and Atma Weapon entered the field.

"BEGIN!"

Atma Weapon growled and hurled itself into the air.

"FLARE!" it hissed, balls of flame bursting from its mouth and hurling themselves at Golbez.

Golbez raised his hand. "Reflect!" he yelled, a magical barrier forming in front of him.

The balls of flame bounced off of the barrier and hurled themselves back at Atma Weapon.

Atma Weapon twisted to the side but they tore through his flesh, exploding within him bursting out.

Growling as it landed on the ground, it glared at Golbez as strange blue light sprayed from its wounds.

Holding his hand outward, Golbez began chanting a spell.

"Meteo!" he yelled, meteors bursting through the game room's roof and slamming into Atma Weapon.

Atma Weapon was now panting heavily, its shoulders heaving and blue light bursting from many open wounds.

Hefting his sword, Golbez held it out, black energy running down the length of the blade.

Leveling it with the ground, he thrust it forward, unleashing a burst of dark energy that slammed into Atma Weapon, disintegrating it.

Right, well, I think it's a bit too late for me to start betting (xD), but I think I can still make a Battlefield. Sooo

Mount Gulg (FF1 style)

Location: In a VOLCANO, on earth.

Description: This battlefield is basically inside the actual volcano. It is mostly rocky ground with random spots of boiling lava. The intense heat in this battlefield allows more inexpereinced fighters to have slower judgement. Fighters who weigh too much are confined to rather small spaces due to the fact that there are random pools of lava. Coming in contact WITH the lava is possible, but it obviously makes them lose power. Fast players should watch out as it's difficult to avoid the puddles. For magic users, using fire-based spells such as Firaga or Flare will cause the spell to inflict more damage, whereas Ice-based spells like Freez and Blizzaga will do next to no damage.

Boundaries: The walls of the volcano. The battlefield is of circular form, with a 30m radius.

Good For:
Flying fighters.

Bad for:
Big fighters that can hardly move.
Fast fighters. (Unless of course they are successful at avoiding the lava.

Indifference:

Magma bubbled and flowed around the circular platform as Kefka stepped onto the battle. Soon to follow were Ozzie, Flea and Slash, all of whom jumped onto the platform with relative ease.

"The next battle is between Kefka and Team Ozzie! BEGIN!"

Slash took the initiative, leaping forward with his sword in hand, preparing to run Kefka through.

Kefka smiled, closing his eyes and allowing the heat of the volcano to wash over him as Slash drew ever closer.

Just before Slash's sword touched Kefka, there was a massive explosion of flame that sent him flying backwards.

Kefka began laughing maniacally, fire weaving between his hands.

"Too easy!" he yelled, the fires growing bigger. "I want more! More fire! Burn! All of you burn! Uwehehehehehe!"

Kefka raised his arms and a massive burst of flame errupted from them.

"MERTON!" he cried, a wave of fire engulfing the entire area.

The flames surged forward, intensified by the power of the volcanoes. In the aftermath Ozzie, Flea and Slash all were on their knees, panting heavily. Their flesh was raw and blistered from the intensity of the heat, but their natural toughness had allowed them to survive it.

Kefka's body was covered in burns as well, but he ignored them as he continued laughing maniacally.

Angelic and bat wings burst from his back as he took to the air, flying above the weakened mystics. Fire danced in his hands as he stared them down, his face bestial and his twisted laugh echoing throughout the volcano.

Slash, Flea and Ozzie moved to encircle the area where Kefka was flying.

"Delta Attack!" they yelled, a surge of multi-elemental magic bursting from the ground and hurling itself at Kekfa.

Kefka brought his hand down as the attack spiraled towards him and caught it, the magical energy pushing at him but not making any progress. Smirking viciously, he began gathering magical energy around him.

"Ultima!" he screamed, casting the spell directly into the Delta Attack.

Energy lanced through the attack and began expanding wildly. The Delta Attack began to disintegrate as the Ultima spell took form, expanding and engulfing Kefka's opponents. As it continued to expand and push against the Delta Attack, all control of the spell shattered, although whether it was by accident or design was unable to be determine.

The energies of the Ultima spell completely overrode the Delta Attack and expanded wildly outward, obliterating the volcano entirely.

As the dust cleared Kefka stood on the ground laughing madly. There was no trace of the bodies any of the mystics who had just tried to stand against him.

Could I get a bit more on where the pillars lead, Mercen? I'm too lazy to turn on KH and go through that part again.
I meant that they just lead to another pillar on the battlefield. At first, I thought it would be cool if they went to the different worlds like in the game, but that's just way too confusing and time consuming. The teleportation just randomly increases or decreases the distance between fighters. Actually, it's not as random as it seems. Skilled warriors can decipher a pattern in the teleport sequence and use that against their opponents.
Mercen-X may, at his leisure, go and collect 2,000 rent from every time his battlefield was used, and tell me how much extra he gets. Until then, he will not get anything because I'm a lazy bastard.
I already did all of the earlier calculation, Void. It was 3,500,000 minus 20,000 for the field I created plus 10,000 for the 5 times you've used it. I didn't realize my field was so massive. An extra loss of 20,000 for the Endless Pillars puts me at 6,470,000 plus the last use of the Game Room is an extra 2,000 toward my total. So 6,472,000.

Now 1,000,000 on Kuja.

The last fight was in the Barrel Volcano stage that Ultima Shadow made, not the Goug Volcano that you made, Del Mordor.

Mercen-X's next battlefield is approved.

Rain poured continously from the sky, soaking the top of the Fanatics Tower. In the distance thunder boomed and the sky flashed with lightning.

On one side of the tower Kuja sat demurely upon the rail, his purple hair soaked and windswept.

On the other side the five Axem Rangers stood, glaring at Kuja (for glaring is about all that their bodies were capable of.)

"BEGIN!"

The Axem Rangers began charging at Kuja on their stubby little legs, only to fall on their faces and begin sliding towards him.

Kuja chuckled and stood, his feet lifting easily into the air as he elevated himself with his own magic.

"YOU are my next opponents?" he asked. "Hardly worth my time."

Raising his hand, the lightning around him began to surge forward, gathering in his palm and increasing in size as he augmented it with his own magic until it became a pulsating ball of light.

Extending his hand, Kuja unleashed a torrent of lightning bolts onto the Axem Rangers, blasting them backwards and tearing large chunks out of their bodies.

Weakly, the Axem Rangers slowly rose to their feet, large chunks of their plastic-like bodies missing.

"Still going to stand?" Kuja asked. "How amusing. However, I do not believe I wish to play with you fools any longer."

Raising his hand, he began gathering blue magic in his right hand. As the lightning intensified and the rain grew heavier, the Axem Rangers began charging once more, Axem Pink working feverishly to heal the party as Axem Black and Axem Green hurled bombs and spells at Kuja.

"How annoying," Kuja said dismissively as he brought his left hand up and created a barrier in front of his body, causing the attacks to bounce harmlessly to the side.

Delicately bringing his right arm down and extending his palm outward, Kuja unleashed a stream of blue magic that hurled itself into the air and spread out above the charging Axem Rangers.

The rainful quickly turned into icicles that descended upon the Axem Rangers and pierced their bodies, freezing them in their tracks. Within moments, the shower of ice shards had subsided, and all five Axem Rangers were completely frozen.

Lazily, Kuja floated down and gathered magical energy in his hands, unleashing it in a burst of five different magical attacks.

Each magic attack sped towards a different Axem Ranger, shattering the ice and scattering small shards of them across the roof of the tower.

The swirling magical field enshrouded the area as Beatrix stepped forward and readied Save the Queen as she prepared to take on Ozma. The massive floating orb was more or less immobile, but the battle would not end until one or the other was defeated.

"BEGIN!"

"Climhazzard!" Beatrix yelled, bursting forward and slashing at Ozma with a mighty stroke of her sword.

A wide gash opened in Ozma, but it was quickly filled as the sphere shifted its mass forward to cover the wound.

Flashing, a massive meteor burst from the sky and hurled itself at Beatrix.

Beatrix raised her sword, mystic energy flowing through her body.

"HOLY!" she yelled, a burst of powerful white magic erupting from her blade.

The white magic slammed into the meteor, both spells fighting hard against each other and neither giving ground.

Finally, the meteor blew apart and the light of Holy dissipated.

Beatrix was already pushing forward again, her blade extended.

"Shock!" she yelled, unleashing a burst of power upon Ozma.

Ozma seemed to shake in the air momentarily before it retaliated with a flare spell. The magic burst forward, slamming into Beatrix and blasting her backwards. There was a flash of steel as Beatrix threw her blade forward to protect herself, but even that was not enough to stem the full force of the attack.

Grunting, Beatrix rose to her feet, breathing heavily and clutching her side. While she had survived the attack, it had certainly taken its toll. As her hand began to glow and her wounds began to knit, Ozma unleashed another attack, this time a death spell.

A reaper emerged from the globe and streaked towards Beatrix, scythe clenched in its bony fists.

"Full Life!" Beatrix cried, knowing that she had no chance of dodging the attack in her still-wounded state.

A pillar of light descended from the heavens and enshrouded her just as the reaper's scythe struck her, causing her to fall to the ground with a shriek, her face pale.

No sooner had the reaper dissipated than a smiling cherub wafted from the sky and touched her cold forehead. Color quickly returned to her cheeks as Beatrix rose, bringing her sword to bear.

Seeing her back on her feet, Ozma seemed to expand for a moment and a huge red burst of flame emerged from it, hurling itself at Beatrix with great speed.

Quickly rising to her feet, Beatrix began running to the right, her hand glowing with white magic.

The spell whirled past her but the stream of flames it dragged with it did not miss. As it cleared, Beatrix stood, slightly shaky, her arms crossed across her chest and glowing with white light.

Without missing a beat Ozma cast its next spell, a black and unsavory-looking mist surrounding Beatrix.

"Esuna!" Beatrix cried as the mist engulfed her.

The mist seemed to waver for a moment before the varicolored light of Beatrix's spell cleansed it.

Ozma unleashed yet another attack, this time a stream of energy that hit Beatrix and drew her mystic energy out of her. Gritting her teeth, she raised her sword and charged, pulling a small vial from beneath her clothing out with her other hand.

Ozma unleashed a meteor just as Beatrix quaffed the potion and hurled the vial at Ozma. The vial shattered without any ill effect, and she dodged to the side as the meteor slammed into the ground.

Ozma hung in midair for a moment, unsure if Beatrix still stood. As the dust from the meteor cleared Beatrix jumped forward and thrust her sword into Ozma.

"HOLY!"

Her sword, already embedded in Ozma, began to glow, and Ozma's body seemed to distort for a moment as the spell was unleashed inside of it.

"SHOCK!"

Again, Ozma's body bulged, this time the bulges growing even higher as Beatrix's power was unleashed. It began quivering and shaking wildly in an attempt to dislodge her, but Beatrix held on with a tenacity and determination that could not be matched.

"DIE!" she screamed. "HOLY THUNDER SLASH!"

Her sword glowed and Ozma bulged as the Holy magic was cast directly into its body. As it began to expand further, Beatrix dragged her blade through the strange creature, the lightning around it cutting open a hole.

The pressure was too much for Ozma. The massive globe exploded, throwing Beatrix to the ground and almost throwing her off of the plains.

Panting heavily, Beatrix sheathed her sword and pulled out another potion, quaffing it to stop the pain.
