Like, Ive never had any problems with my face, been nice a smooth.
I wash my face with soap every night and morning. Never used any of that facial wash, or spot cream. Never ever.
But like this morning, I noticed a spot :o, or some sort of acneish type thing. I dont know what I did wrong, I mean, do I really need to use all this facial stuff.
Anywayz, what was your experiences with acne .....

I'm 15 and I've never had acne. I have generally good skin and I don't get zits too often. People say you get acne later in the teen years, but a ton of people have acne already, so I don't think that's always the case/

I've always had pretty clear skin because I drink a lot of water. Give it a few days and see if it gets worse, it might just go away on its own. ^_^

I'm sicilian and have incredibly oily skin and when I hit my teens I had the worst acne. The oxy pad thingies worked really well for me at the time.

Yeah, oxypad things work wonders. I try to use them everyday.

It depends on your skintype and little else. I'm 22 and I still have problems with my acne (partially my fault, though) because of how damned oily my skin is. Of course, oily skin = less wrinkles later in life, so yay on that front.

I've had acne problems all my life, it's a real pain, but it's gotten a LOT better as I've gotten older. It doesnt bother me anymore, but it drives my mom nuts. xD

I usually get more pimples and stuff the week before my period. It's a pretty harecord definite sign.

they're not too bad if I don't mess with them though.

I'm 17 now, almost 18, and I'm starting to get them REALLY bad right now. I used to have perfect clear skin. ;-; But it may also be that my mom bought this new cleaning stuff and I'm used a specific kind. So it whacked up my skin and the more powerful the cleansing pad is the more my face tends to break out. My face is sensitive, ARG, so I'm gonna have to go back to the store and buy some pansy cleansing pads.

O a spot. How terrible. Wait, no, that's nothing. TRY HAVING HUNDREDS OF THE ****ERS ON YOUR FACE! I've gotten out the otherside alright, but I know some people who's faces look like they've been victim of burns. Acne sucks, appearing just around the time you become sexually active, thusly making finding a partner all the more easier.

I was really fortunate and didnt recieve bad acne. Just curious if anybody knows the answer, does a dark skin tone or recieving a tan reduce the amount of acne on your body?

Your own two fingers work wonders. And if its a good one it feels really good after its been squeezed to hell and shot halfway accross the room :D . Ive only had pimples over the last three or so years. Before that i was clear skinned mostly. Theyre not bad but theyre irritating. I go through stages: One week ill be fine and no new ones will come up, then the next week a new invasion. But im not as bad as some people who have a pizza for a face 24/7. Theres was a few people back in the days of high school who were like that, I felt sorry for them, poor dudes.

My skin is mostly cleared up now. I still have a very small problem with it though.

Despite what Slade told you do not pop it. *Grabs Dreddz and starts shaking*.
DO NOT POP IT!

Not true... I ate really well as a teenager and drank tons of water and I still broke out. It depends on your skin type. You are just lucky.....

I have mild acne. Nothing too bad, but not the clearest skin in the world. I've used ProActive, it seems to help. I'm not worried about it much.

I used to be a pizza face back when I was about 14 or 15 and now I'm drop dead gorgeous :joey:

Clearasil face wipes worked for me

I do believe that recieving a tan does help the skin. Its the sunlight. I'm not sure wether its the same for spots but a few years ago I got serises (that is a really bad attempt at the correct spelling, I know.), I went on holiday the next week and it completely cleared up. :)

i have terrible acne, i often dont care and just kinda pick at it, but the past few weeks i have been using like 6 different acne things on my face 3 times a day and soap, i can barely keep it to where i have a ton a bumps on my skin, but they arent red, and i just started shaving cuz i started late with facial hair i guess, or at least compared to my friends(im 16) and everytime i shave i cut open about 30 little skin bumps, so ive basically started cutting off my zits.

EDIT:

i only wash my face with water and i dont have acne.if you drink lots of water and watch what you eat it really helps your skin.

I dont get incredibly bad acne, but I get alot of spots on my forehead, or around my mouth sometimes.

I went to the doctor, and got tablets for acne, I also have "Differin" which is a cream/gel for acne which you have to get on perscription. I dont think any of it really works though :mad2:

I used to have acne for a little while, in between my eyebrows :rolleyes2 but I don't get that many spots now, I'm on this erythromicin stuff for it, because I have weird skin and I have eczema do its harder to get rid of, but like I said, it's not a problem now :D

A girl i know told me hthis ages ago and it actually works, if get a spot just put some toothpaste on it and the florine will kill it. Also the same if you swim a lot cus the chlorine in the pool kills it. Who could guess, chemistry is useful.

The trick is; when your in the shower in the morning, just stare at the shower head for about 2 minutes. Your eyes get destroyed, but your face gets pretty clean :)

lol, i clicked on this thread thinking, "like, wtf, mate?" but i can relate, so im gunna help ya out a little...

first of all, the basic thing ya gotta know is, some people have acne, some dont... those people that dont are just pretty bastards, lol, that's all there is to it.

if you're one of the kids that DOES get acne (myslef included), there ARE some things you can do to reduce the ammount of acne you will get on a normal basis, but NO MATTER what you do, you cannot eliminate it all =\

from what i've experianced, it kinda goes in phases... one week you might be thinking, "oh hell, wtf did i do wrong?!?!!??" answer: prolly nothing, that's just the way it is. the next week you could have perfectly clear skin. you might even slack a bit on washing and you'll still be fine. you might even start thinking, "HAH! i've beeten thee, demon! fah'q ACNE!" but bby that time, you'll prolly just break out within the next few days. lol

again, this is all my experiance. i've found that magic "Jessica Simpson medicine" a.k.a. Pro-active to be insanely useful! on the other hand, my friend claims it made him break out more... everyone's unique... it sucks. i've also found that those oxy-clean etc. w/e the f!#k they're called dont work for me. i guess my skin's not all that oily, cuz it just dries my skin out, which, according to "acne specialists" (w/e the f@!k that is) dry skin leads to more break-outs.

umm... so yeah, i dont know where this is leading, but atm im 18, had a real big problem w/ it arround 15-16, nothing much before that, but arround 16-17 i found pro-active which deffinately made a noticeable difference w/ my complection

lol, now that i've written my whole life story, hope it helps =P

EDIT: oh, one more thing... if/when you get acne, DONT MESS W/ IT!!! dont touch, squeeze, pick at, or even THINK about it unless you find it ABSOLUTELY necessary! honestly, i do think dwelling on the fact that you may have some spot on your face might not only make you feel selfconcious, but also make it worse -- dont ask for any proof, lol, as if i could give any

just say "/xxx.gif/xxx.gif/xxx.gif/xxx.gif/xxx.gif it!" and move on w/ other things.
it's not your fault if ya got it
there's really nothing phisicly that you can/cant do to make it "go away"
you're just like 1,000,000s of other people
dont let it get to you

FIN

I used to have some (and on bad days, quite a few) in certain areas, and it took it a few years to go on its own. I'm 19.5 years-old now, and I haven't had any (almost) since I was about 18. I still get the occasional little bastard, or three (that's a real invasion of the zits from Mars), but nothing more, ever. Tfoo tfoo tfoo. :D

About the tooth-paste - yes it does kill and dry the place... but it also causes mild burns. Meaning, the area around would be all red and achy.
