Hello guys do you like HIM?What do you think about their new album "Dark Light"?
Personally I like it the only thing that I hate is the singer's outfit. :eek: Some great songs from the album are "Vampire Heart", "TheFace Of God", "Play Dead", "Rip Out The Wings Of The Butterfly" and "Under The Rose". :love:

I love HIM. i got there new album the day it came out and i agree villes new clothes are pretty bad they would good if he had not cut his hair.

I've only heard it playing in the background of some of my art classes and I didnt pay much attntion to it but Im gonna go out on a limb and suggest the lyrics and song names are seriously corny. Cornier than evanescense even.

Well, considering they're Finnish and English is their second language, I'd say their lyrics are pretty good. xD I like them, but I'm not obsessed like a lot of people are.

To elaborate, I'm not overly fond of HIM. There music is entertaining enough, but they put on a terribly dull live performance.

I recently heard H.I.M. and I just love it. I haven't seen their new CD, but maybe I'll go out tomorrow to see it. Ville is so cute!!!! XD

Yeah, their song names are incredibly corny. I try and let them off on that because they're Finnish, but it's really just because they're a bit sad.
I do like them. They're not brilliantly good, but alright. The problem with this new album is that, though it is good, it's nothing new. It sounds exactly the same as the rest of their stuff. It's just as good, but it's gotten dull. Maybe that's better than doing something different and just screwing it up (Foo Fighters, Steriophonics). I don't know. I just think they're repetitive. But atleast they're repeating their own stuff and not someone elses.

They're touring in the US but I can't go... :(
I'm not like, mad obsessed with them or anything though.

You don't need to come in here and say how much you hate them. just shut up or go make a thread about how you hate them instead of bitching in this one. Anyways I liek that song right here in my arms or whatever. Other then that I haven't heard much of their stuff.

Dark Light aint as good as HIMs earlier albums (It still rocks!!!) but it is a lot better than Love Metal. Also I think HIM are going mainstream due to signing on to Warner Bros. and I saw Dark Light in the mainstream album charts

Rock acts shouldn't go mainstream because then they change their style to suit the consumers. E.G. The Rasmus- Before they were like The Backstreet Boys, but now they look like a goth band. (I know they aren't mainstream but it still counts)

Mainstream isn't always the bands fault, nor a bad thing. It just means popular, and if a band get more popular, so what?
HIM may not be mainstream, but they're already styled in the perfect way for their audience. They're sort of 'goth', and that fits their little fans just right. I'm guessing it's the little people like you who do treat bands like HIM that way. Something that fits their image. That's just as bad as the idiots who follow the mainstream. The little goth kids think because it's not as popular with these mainstream fans, they're different, when all they're doing is the same thing in a slightly different way, with a different look. A look still shared by thousands of other people.
Damn it, I hate goths!
