Do you think FFIV and V should share there own forum while I-III have a forum between the three? Im just wondering. In my head it seems better categorized given I-III were NES, IV-VI were SNES and the FFV forum is one of the quieter forums on the board. It just seems neater in my picky head so do the staff agree, or disagree or whats the story?

I like the idea of having IV and V in the same forum, but that's beside the point - Cid's happy with the site as it is now, and doesn't want to change it.

This is how it should be:
Forum 1: General Chat/Artist's Gallery/Final Fantasy X-2/Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
Forum 2: Eyes on Each Other/Final Fantasy I-IV/Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus
Forum 3: The Lounge/Feedback/Heart of the Kingdom of Kingdom Hearts' Heart
Forum 4: Eyes on The World/General Archive/Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (again)
Then you can lump the rest of the forums together in one final forum. Think of how nice and tidy things would be if there were only five different forums. :up:

There's this rule we have here called "It's Always Been That Way and It's Never Going to Change". This rule alone would prevent the FFIV forum from being split out from FFI-IV, even if it was a good idea to do so, which it clearly isn't.
The day you take FFIV out of FFI-IV is the day EoFF collapses into a heap of flaming rubble.

sharing a forum with 4 would cause the 5 threads to get crowded out.No one seems to post in them anyway. Similar to the old school FF's sharing a forum with FFIV. Even if it doesnt improve FFV the FFV forum is in a pretty sad state as it is.

Im not interested in posting in FFV or IV. Thats not what I was talking about.
Merge them so the average post count is more balanced in every forum.

I suggest that we give FFIV its own forum, merge FFT with FFTA and merge FFVI with FFX-2. The FFT-FFTA merge makes sense, since I don’t see why the fake FF games get there own forums, and FFVI merged with FFX-2 because it would increase the general intelligence level of the FFX-2 forum, and take those FFVI snobs down a notch!

how about we have a front portal and it asks you what system you use primarily to play ff games. If you say "SNES" then the ff6 forum changes to the ff3 forum. If you say "GBA" then the ff4 and ff5 forums merge. If you say "Famicom" then you get forwarded <a href=http://www.planetnintendo.com/ff1>here</a> and if you say "PS2" then you get forwarded to a Rikku hentai site.

Except for the Rikku part... wouldn't it be highly cool if there was a User CP option allowing members several options for merging fora? A hard-core old-schooler could choose to see a separate forum for FFI-VI, with the rest lumped in together, while others could look at various other combinations. There'd have to be a 'default' layout, particularly for modding purposes, but I reckon this could be done. Somehow.

FFIV and FFV being in the same forum or being in their own individual forums would provide a better balance to the forums as a whole.
eest: What we could do is make a category for each 'group' of FF's and then people can just collapse the ones they don't care for. :p But I don't think that'd be a good idea, while I do think FFIV & FFV is a good idea. The only reason we didn't really do it before is 'cause of Cid. The majority of people seem to think it's a good idea.
But personally I'm not bothered as I don't really post in either forum. :p
