I just saw this movie a couple nights ago, and it was the most incredible, stylish kids movie I've seen in a very long time. It's about a girl named Helena that was born into a circus family, and longs to run away to have a "real life". When her mother is injured, Helena finds herself in an alternate world built of her drawings. She goes on a journey to find the Mirrormask, a relic of the light world she needs to save the White Queen, all the while escaping the clutches of the Dark Queen who is searching for Helena.

It was a very, very beautiful film both visually and storywise. It's a Jim Hensen film, made to follow the footsteps of The Dark Crystal and Labrynth, but ends up being something of a dark and very artistic Wizard of Oz. If you enjoyed any of those movies, or Neil Gaiman in general, you'll love it. Has anyone else seen it, and what did you think?
