What is your favorite moment/scene in FF8?

One of mine would have to be when Laguna is in the bar at the Galbadia Hotel and is talking to Julia, and when she suggests to go talk in her room he jumps up and yells "In your room!!!" and the camera zooms out and everyone is crowed around the table. lol :D

That can't make him soft, it makes him mature, there is a difference. It really shows his love for Rinoa, and there woulldn't be a ff8 without that. When was the last time a softie up and decides to cary someone for miles through unknown lands, all alone, without a care for the dangers thatr may lay ahead. No softie would try that. No, Squall is quite strong, and that scene prooves it.

The opening will forever be the best opening of any game ever. I always liked whenever they were at FH. The game seemed more lighthearted. Esthar was just cool. And meeting Laguna as the President was pretty cool. Laguna in Deling City was a really great sequence. Anytime Zell is on screen. Squall telling Quistis to 'talk to a wall'. Irvine was awesome, too, especially post disc 1. He really comes into his own and gives up the playboy facade. That was real great to see. And I'm quite shocked no one mentioned the kiss at the end.

I REALLY loved the "Waltz for the Moon" scene, where Squall and Rinoa meet for the first time during the SeeD party. Not only is it a great, energetic arrangment of "Eyes On Me," but the cinematography is so beautiful. When Squall and Rinoa bump into another couple, you can read Rinoa's face so perfectly well. And of course, it's a very comedic but also significant scene.

Yeah that part is really good. At first it's funny because Laguna just all of a sudden decides to say goodbye to Raine, but then it gets really serious when he feels her try to stop him and he shows her the ring. Raine was surprized that Laguna actually had did it and you could tell that it made her really happy. But it's sad when you know that she'll die not many years later :cry:

I wonder, who would Laguna be best with, Raine, or Julia. I think that Julia was just a crush more than anything, but Raine was the real thing, you can tell from their faces when they hug.

I don't think that you can inherit what Squall has, that comes from several instances that happened during his early life. And even if Raine is a serious character, she was no stoic like Squall is until the end.

The top 5 moments in FFXIII are as follows:

1. The ending FMV, the last thing you see when you see Rinoa. ( I was sooo happy)

2. Disc 3 Ragnarok pilot seat scene to Eyes on Me

3. New Game fmv ending with the feathers and the clip from the esthar rescue scene

4. The SEED party Dance

5. The Space FMV when she's floating away and you see the Lionheart ring on her chain floating and the tear she cries.

These are undisputably the best scenes, there is no room for contestment, and sorry folks, Kiros, Laguna, and Ward have no place on the list.

Yeah, the opening intro is pretty cool, mainly because the Liberi Fatala (probably spelt that wrong but I don't care) song. The fight sequence was nicely done as well.

Yeah, the opening intro is pretty cool, mainly because the Liberi Fatala (probably spelt that wrong but I don't care) song. The fight sequence was nicely done as well.

I've read some of what your favorite parts in FFVIII are and I like most of what you guys have posted. The one that stood out for me was when Squall and Rinoa danced the first time in Disc 1. I also like "Waltz for the Moon" and thought it was a perfect musical piece for that scene. I thought it was kind of funny that Zell is trying to get Squall's attention and he keeps ignoring him and tries to ignore Rinoa but she throws him on the dance floor! She might as well said: "You ain't going nowhere honey!":D

During the Garden Battle sequence, when the camera pans down to the entrance of the Garden, and Irvine, Zell, and Selphie are running around, doing their thing, and then at the gate you just see Quistis and Xu, standing there looking out and waiting.

I always thought that that was a nice touch.

Well first off, Squall isn't visable at the party in those home movie scenes, so you have to wait till AFTER the credits roll. But yeah, he's there. Yeah...at first I was confused if he was alive or not too.:confused: Especially when you see Rinoa in the home video standing by herself. I thought right then, "Okay...Squall definetly died." BUT!!! I decided to keep the game on after the credits, and...VOILA!!! I had a feeling they were going to do something, cause in Kingdom Hearts they had something after the credits, and after I played 8 I noticed the same thing in X and X-2. So now I just keep it on when the credits finish...just to be on the safe side...;)

Yeah. Too many to name, but then that's why this thread was made wasn't it? :) I do like Laguna though. He added alot of comedy relief and made some scenes better. Such as the scene in the flashback when he gets to meet Julia. His leg cramping up...oh my...:laughing: sounds like something I would never do. :shifty:
