'kay, So I was doing the whole spamming the usernotes thing, posted a usernote for Psy, went to post a usernote for kikimm by pressing her name in Psy's notes and it went to PiP's profile instead. Not too sure if this happens elsewhere but yeah.

So like, kikimm = Primus Inter Pares? Shocking, truely shocking.

That's the way ahah ahah.

You're supposed to click people's avatars, not their names! ...or at least that's what I do and I didn't have any problems when I did it this morning in the great realm of user notes.

Primus Inter Pares
10-13-2005, 11:46 AM
Firefox is the best in teh land of usernotes

DK
10-13-2005, 11:56 AM
Well, clicking the name and avatar used to do the same thing so I didn't think much of it, but I just randomly turned up in PiP's profile and was confused.

EDIT: HOLY CRAP! ALL NAMES LEAD TO PiP! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE? PiP HAX AIMBOTTED THE USERNOTES!

Primus Inter Pares
10-13-2005, 11:59 AM
Well, what did you expect?

Levian

I expected firework and at least three african elephants, and front row seats.

Anyway, this problem is not a problem of mine.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's a problem with the upgrade.

It also is not doing it for me.

Loony BoB

I don't have the problem. If anyone else does, let me know what browser you're using, including the version of that browser.

DK
10-13-2005, 03:50 PM
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6

Is what I'm using. Hold on a sec and i'll get some screenshots

Edit: These are from my own usernotes.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/sickhappy/arse2.jpg

Everyone becomes Psy on this page.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/sickhappy/arse.jpg

And everyone leads to Dr.K on this one. clicking on the avatars takes you to the right persons profile, however clicking the name leads to the random.

Loony BoB
10-13-2005, 03:51 PM
When you hover your mouse over the avatar-link, does it display PiP's userid every time?

EDIT: And seriously Dan, your Firefox is arfed, I'd reinstall it.

DK

Firefox works with this forum, no problems. But you're right, it is buggered.

Primus Inter Pares
10-13-2005, 04:00 PM
I do have the same problem...

Loony BoB
10-13-2005, 04:01 PM
That's because you're obsessed with your own usernotes, PiP. But I dunno, this is an issue for a Firefox person.

Still want to know if the mouse-hover displays the correct userid or not.

DK
10-13-2005, 04:03 PM
Yeah, It does. If you click on avatars it goes to that persons profile, it's just on the pages clicking on peoples names will bring up one person who's posted a usernote on that page and it'll be that link for everyone.

Edit: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/sickhappy/arse3.jpg

I really like Kick him she's so cool

I'm hoping that once they solve that problem I discovered while looking into this, that it also solves your problem of constant liniking to other people's usernotes.

I've disabled plugins at omgmyhat for a bit, go there and use the default style and tell me if you have the same problem. If so, I'll add that to the bug report.

DK
10-13-2005, 07:00 PM
Yep, also happens at omgmyhat.

This crap has to happen as soon as I switch from IE to Firefox, doesn't it?

Y'know, I've come to the realisation that IE is better. Yes, it is. And don't give me that Spyware crap. I've never gotten any from using IE. Heck, my IE doesn't even show adverts of any kind, whereas on Firefox they're flashing away like mad. And IE doesn't randomly open links on pages either. Yep. I think I shall switch back. (If I can be bothered to log in to everywhere with IE :D)

maybe IE is different in Britain.

Yams, do you have many problems with IE at your work? I've always been under the suspicion that IE is actually fully capable of acting on the same level as Firefox when it comes to security, it just doesn't come that way by default. Because I work in a large company and we use IE and I've never once had a problem of a popup or virus on my work PC.

Firefaux.

BoB: Whenever we bootup a machine it takes on average five minutes to authenticate with the network and load up all the damned firewall / antivirus / spyware stuff. And we still get viruses and spyware.

If your network has a very good firewall that doesn't let anything bad through, then yeah, it's tough for even IE to screw much up.

But Firefox is better than IE. Ask any person with any knowledge of computers. When people who actually know about this kind of crap (Unne, Bleys, etc) say "Use Firefox, IE sucks," then I listen if it's not too much hassle, which Firefox isn't (tabbed browsing = love). I'd even switch to Linux, but now that I'm too lazy for.

What's so hard? Download an iso, burn it to a CD, boot off the CD, and thirty minutes later be using a Linux distro. Unless of course you plan on using Gentoo or something similar, in which case be prepared for a long night.

I work for my uni's technical services department. Funny thing is that my site is blocked from the network, while a site like Fool's Gold isn't.

I was once invited over to an old Frenchman's house for wine and he gave me horrible biscuits (hoho yes I said biscuits!) so I pretended to eat them but hid them in my pocket. It was quite the jolly escapade! It's also why I hate the French.

Anyway the moral of the (true) story is that French people don't drink wine out of shoes, but they give children horrible biscuits instead so use the "Giving children horrible biscuits smiley" in the future if you want to pretend to be French.

Oh well, at least we won the War of Independence so that's something to smile about. :)

I feel so wrong saying it, but I love you, Psy. <3*End phase I*

Phase One Summary:

Psychotic sends an agent (later determined to be Lenna) to meet up with BoB (preferably a female agent). They become friends. In time they become better friends and the agent moves in with BoB. Even though the agent seems to have troubles adapting to BoB's ways (she likes to kick or hit him a lot) they seem to work it out. Slowly she gains more of BoB's trust and begins manipulating him so that by the end of phase I BoB declares his love for Psychotic.

Phase II: (As yet to be played out.)
